one time I saw a comment that said that this line from hobi can be an innuendo, cuz since the stars on a converse are on the inner part of the show, so you can only see it when your legs are opened 🤡

Namjoon wrote this song one day and uploaded it on SoundCloud for fun and it was funky so they made a group song out of it. And yes,Joon likes red high converse shoes and jeans. Just being teens. Sharing their opinions and likes/dislikes.

I feel that not all songs need to be deep. It is just fun sometimes to have a silly song.
Converse High was a B-Side on the 2015 EP “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Pt 1” with I Need U and Dope as the A-Sides, that was a sort of fun, shallow song that BTS cooked up for fun I guess. I think Converse High is one of the few BTS songs that isn’t really nuanced in any way, among others such as War of Hormone.
I also think you might have missed the double meaning in Yoongi’s verse, the reason he’s saying he hates Converse being “because it’s too hard to take them off you” also carries a sexual connotation lol

It's a simple song, just a vibe, a mood.... but J-hope's lyrics are sexy and Yoongi goes straight to the point in his verse... ruining the romantic lyrics that Nanjoom set for the song. It's a very funny song.

This is actually my least favorite song in the entire BTS discography. And it's still a bop. Namjoon literally turned his kink into a song. I don't particularly like Converse, though, so Yoongi's verse is my favorite. You should hear this song live. Converse isn't one of their sponsors, so they can't say the name when singing on television. They have to change the lyrics and it's hysterical, especially Yoongi's verse.
