The reason for the breakup of the ADMK-BJP alliance is not Annamalai. It’s Edappady who wants to kick out BJP. According to him, NDA would gain more than 15 seats if this alliance is successful in practice. Afterwards, Annamalai became the most prominent leader in the Gounder community. To end that, he played a game and every time he publicly criticized BJP, Annamalai, and Modi. As a previous IPS officer, Annamalai saw Edappady's plan in advance and reacted accordingly. If BJP opts for ADMK alliance, Edappady will give 5 seats (with a lower winning chance), and BJP can win 1 seats. However, admk may have won around 14 seats. People outside of TN or BJP are thinking that Annamalai is the reason for the alliance break, but it's not correct. It's Edappady who played a double game to cheat BJP high command and media.

The important thing to note is that for the younger people 35-50 and youth 20-35, ADMK is not at all in the picture. Of all the parties in TN, ADMK is the worst in this demographic. While ADMK has a huge base, it is a dying base and is not getting replenished.
That is the reason they are praying that Missionary Plan C, Joseph Vijay to join with them.

a) Plan A- DRAVIDAM - Stalin DMK, VCK and DK

I think the BJP should completely remove itself from Tamil Nadu and establish a new, hardcore right-wing party with a Tamil name that aligns with Tamil ideology, at least in appearance and rhetoric. This party should entirely avoid references to Hindi, Modi, and similar elements. Annamalai can be the face of this new party, which would still remain part of the NDA. This way, the opposition won't have the opportunity to accuse the BJP of being a North Indian party or imposing Hindi, as the new party would be entirely Tamil in origin, with a Hindutva ideology.

Annamalai lost because of
a) BJP Central leadership made a stupid decision of all of a sudden, forcing him to contest from Coimbatore after he repeatedly clearly said his focus is on getting BJP and allies win seats.
b) He had to do campaign for multiple leaders of his party and alliance party and then himself also.
c) Removal of BJP voters from the voter list OR transfer to a different polling stations. (BJP is also at heavy fault for losing its ground game ).
d) ADMK and DMK having an unwritten agreement to force him to lose. Enough vote transferred from ADMK to DMK.
That is the reason that I am 100% disagree with stating that, if only the BJP had an alliance with ADMK, they would have won. That is 110% incorrect.
ADMK under EPS has been poisoning the well for a long time. OPS, who unfortunately is too soft to be a political leader, realized and opposed it but was steadily outgunned. The ADMK Thondan (party man) had been fed with the poison that it is BJP that is responsible for ADMK losing minorities and being an albatross around the neck that even the die-hard ADMK dingbat, who would never vote for a DMK, would be fine to vote of one of DMK's alliance partners like Congress, VCK, MDMK, Communists etc. if suppose they stood against their supposed NDA ally BJP.
Finally, the cat came out of the bag when C.V.Shanmugham of ADMK said "ADMK and DMK are not Enemies (Pagaiyaali) but partners (Pangaali)". We would rather share the spoils between us than letting a new party from taking it.

First everyone from other states should know, before some years beck in TN forget about vote share but BJP was considered a negative force. Parties avoid keeping alliance because they think they'll lose their own vote share too. After Annamalai achieving a whopping 11.25% vote share is incredible.
But smitha ji, understand that, he was the solo force behind the punch. His team is not united and not enough hardwork to connect with poor people who votes majority in TN.
Annamalai is genuine about everyone and everything is his inner consciousness of Divine or spiritual thing! He is clear, everything is done by God and with the blessings of all elders and everyone..... that's why... that's realisation at younger age. BJP is not taking any action against corruption in TN. What is the use of Annamalai shouting from roof top abut corruption in TN
- Annamalai is a fresh air in politics. The only TN politician who is logically makes sense. He should succeed in long-term.
- TN longs for humble, sensible and corruption-free politician. No question about that. A big systemic rehaul is needed.
- Dravidian politics has become more of dynasty politics. It's terrible for the nation.
But why Annamalai lost the election?
It's Simple. BJP is clueless about what TN needs.
- TN demography is pretty much different from north India. Northern states have a higher proportion of Muslims compared to Tamil Nadu. TN non-hindus are split almost equal between Christian and Muslim populations. Most TN Hindus don't believe their religion is in danger. Hinduism is vibrant in TN.
- The impact of invasions on TN is less when compared to north India. Even today, TN does not have infiltration from neighbouring countries unlike north India. Put together these and other aspects, most in TN don't care about topics like CAA, Ram temple, etc.
- TN also has anti-vedic aspects like Siddha movement, Vallalar initiatives, Saiva Siddhanta and even Bhakti movement.
- So BJP's Hindu-Muslim narrative that works well in north, falls flat here.
- Hindi is seen as one-more regional language of India similar to other languages like Telugu, Marati, Odia, etc. Union govt which is supposed to be neutral promoting Hindi is seen as unfairness. Irrespective of the party, TN people accept two-language policy. Once again BJP's Hindi policy (similar to Congress) fails here.
- The big issue is corruption and development. BJP is unable to talk strongly about that as well. Most BJP led states lag behind in development when compared to TN. And even states like Gujarat lags behind TN in social indicators. So that narrative fails as well.
- Systemic: DMK & ADMK both have been on power in TN for decades and have built a strong system of political, business and financial setup along with organisational setup. It's strong network. It's long-term. Most political workers think BJP's recent cash flow is short-term in TN while DMK and ADMK is here to stay. It's a big challenge even if the BJP is able to spend money.
Given all these, BJP has to re-think what TN truly needs and change it's narrative. Remember it's the same BJP which promised availability of good-quality beef in Goa while opposite stance in other places. Let TN BJP embrace TN better and find a better narrative. In fact, Annamalai has got so much traction by embracing it better than his predecessors.
We need good quality politicians to win. Let's hope for a better tomorrow.

Annamalai marches to his own drum ! He is a very honest politician, but with a massive ego. Take it or leave it- your choice! AIADMK alliance has to be done to win an election as TN people are still not out of that toxic influence of DMK. Not allying with AIADMK was a good decision. AIADMK is finished now, if not the 2026 election, after that BJP has chance to win the election as AIADMK will be non existent by then. DMK has very strong roots in TN, you can't uproot it so easily. The goal is 2026 should be to become the primary opposition party.

BJP - Modi/Shah duo probably know that they need to do real fix that congress failed to do in Cauvery issue...Both BJP and Congress doesn't want to do the right thing in Cauvery water sharing issues with Karnataka for their political control in Karnataka. So the day they are being genuinely (and not pretend ) nationalistic and save the Delta region..there is no way BJP will make inroads in TN. People like Sai Deepak can harp on Brahmin hatred etc...need to understand how TN vote for Jayalalitha(because her fortunes were mixed with TN state interest). Also BJP arrested Jayalalitha and kept her in Karnataka to shut her down is another reason their combination with ADMK didnt work out and when Annamalai realised it he had to do the obvious of going alone.

LOL! BJP has been the fairest of all parties ruling Karnataka with respect to being pro-Tamil in the Cauvery issue. It is only during Yediurappa and other BJP Governments that the Tribunal judgement was maximum upheld and water released. It is Congress and DK Shivkumar who uses that as a weapon against BJP in the Mysore and southern region to stoke Kannadiga senitments and repeatedly talk about the Mekhe-Dattu dam. So BJP, for TN is actually handicapping its own party in Karnataka where it is in a tough fight with Congress while INC is letting its Kannada leaders play rough shot over its ally DMK.
Infact I would suggest that if the Tamil belt that is irrigated by the Kaveri river does not vote BJP one more time then BJP should start to fund the construction of Mekhe Daatu dam 😀
