Gee, I didn't know my sound was so bad until I watched this. I was happy.......... But, sometimes the truth hurts, I suppose. Anyway, I love my Family Lines GP16. Thank you for the video.
I used Scale Sound Systems IMRH-GP10-RC1-'Standard' for the Intermountain GP10, U18, Others. The speaker is just a drop in replacement for Intermountains stock speaker and is not problem at all to install once you get the shell off...which is a problem. The shell is INCREDIBLY tight on the chassis. It was a battle to get off and I broke MANY detail parts off even with being careful. Luckily everything I knocked off went back on nicely and one can't tell they were off. So just take your time getting the shell off and you'll be fine.
Thank you. I purchased an Intermountain GP16 with RJ Corman road name. It's only my second DCC sound equipped locomotive purchase. My first was an Athearn Genesis with a Tsunami 2. I thought something had to be wrong with the Intermountain, it sounds so weak compared to the Athearn.

Glad you liked it. Can't go wrong with Scale Sound System speakers if you ever decide to go that route of chnaging them out.
@@jhmodeling Thanks.I might do that sometime.
Thanks for the video. Which speaker model number did you install, and was it an easy drop in?
