I dont know if this is a story you want to here but at the age of 12 my mum and nan bought me an Eunos Roadster. On the day i was crying because it was perfect. I had so many plans for it and the first was to sort out the sills. But we all new there was going to be rust so we bought some new sills. We got a professional to cut out the back arches (unable to unbolt) and the Mx5 had to much rust for us to fix. So we took off the best parts of it and sold it except the badges and steering wheel (this did not happen on the same day) . Furthermore we debated what to do and my dad came up with the idea to scrap it and if you eat Heinz Beans you have probably held my car. Our next car is going to be a Subaru Impreza Blob Eye.
I like the format it's in now, vods condensed always have interactions with chat mixed in, popups, it's all hella distracting. F that. And uploading an entire vod to YT fucks your channel in the algorithm so.
If you want fenders for the drift truck that are wider and still have room to pull them, get mazda b2600i fenders. More round openings, smoother transition from panel to fender, wider, and able to be pulled. Also factory
I hope the project on the performance engine is doing well, no drift truck-like issues. That little car is gonna rip! Also, how convenient you said a naughty word at the same time someone locked up their brakes in the parking lot.

6:48 - Know someone with the same impact that did the same thing. Find a nice long Velcro cable tie and use it for the battery; save needing tape every-time and gumming up your batteries with all the old adhesive.
While you have things apart, consider to not ”dry”-mount it when you put it back together (eg. Anti seeze cupper paste on bolts). Nice vid, keep up the good work!
@@imnota I think the blocks are for so he can put the weight of the car on the suspension but still be able to get under the car so he could tighten bolts with bushings
@@jakehiggins5118 He made a video a while back when he made them and they're made to help aligne the car, you could also just use it to torque bushings with the weight on it but they are originally made for doing an alignment.
What compression ratio will the new engine be built to? I remember you saying you would only use E85 which is far higher octane, but that too has limits, restricting the max boost pressure you can use Also, with the smaller turbo, don't let them go too crazy on the head porting as massive ports can lead to drop off in pressure at the top end Also consider meth injection or at least an intercooler spray; intake temps are your worst enemy, *especially* on a build like this
CR of the new motor is 12:1. Very high for a forced induction motor, but a bunch of people do it with BP's so I'm confident it'll work. We'll do meth injection if we have too!
That's brave man, good luck! For the cost of it, I'd do meth injection sooner rather than later- it's a lot cheaper that replacing pistons that have melted from detonation! When I turbocharge my car, I'll be reducing the compression to 9.5 to 1, so high for f.i but low enough to allow for normal high octane fuel to be used on lower boost, as E85 isn't readily available here in the UK I'm looking forward to seeing Molly done though!

That´s the problem with the aftermarket kits, they never fit without welding. I had an aftermarket exhaust at the red Audi, the previous owner had installed it. And it was hideous and distasteful and I hated it, but it sounded normal and it was stainless steel, so it didn´t rot away and that´s why did not see the point to replace it. The bus is a goner ? Or at least the engine.
You could do it, especially with a hardtop or something. If you don't fit well at the beginning you can carve out some foam from the seat bottom (look up miata foamectomy) or consider putting in some deeper buckets, racing or normal
I vote for an exhaust tip extension into an upturn slash-cut blast pipe. Nothing crazy long or wild, but just enough to get it past the bumper and looking good.
You should've installed a new set of muffler bearings while you were in there! Good video man. It's awesome to see how good your automotive skills have developed over the years.
just a tip, if you want to work in 4k or just reduce render times a lot, try editing in davinci resolve 15, it's free, might sound too good to be true but i highly recommend it. (i go to film school) try it!
hey Gingium i cant figure out why my idle is so high on my 1.6 turbo miata. it starts at like 800rpm then 30 seconds later it goes up to 1200 and sticks there. i tried blocking off the IACV and it only dropped it about 300rpm at idle, from 1500
I’m going to tell you, after beginning working at a shop, you’re going to want to have air, having air tools is so much better as compared to battery unless using powered ratchets. Then battery is convenient. If you do end up using air, don’t buy snapon 1/2 impacts. Just get a Matco mt2769, mine has ran so much better than my old mg725.
And I feel ya on those coolant, oil and exhaust leaks, I finally got my probes coolant to stop leaking and I couldn't be more happy, same.with my exhaust except it only didn't leak for a week😂😭
Is that a new type of seal? I have the stock ones and I have the one with the metal flanges on them. I didnt want the metal to rubb on the flanges so I got OEM seals

Rule number one when filling anything that has a drain plug. Make sure you open the fill plug FIRST this way you know you can fill it after draining it.

on those clips with the drivers side you can see the tach drop hella fast... bad tach reading or do the rpm's really drop that fast?
That's due to the flat foot shifting & launch control. Notice how it doesn't do that when I'm just driving around!
Definitely not, you'd be able to hear it, probably something with the flatfoot, no clue though ecu's unhappy about something
the tach reads by spark. When flat foot shifting is enabled, spark is cut when the clutch is depressed, so the tach reads zero during shifts.
