As far as any media figure, Tucker seems about as humble and aware of his own failings as anyone. In the past few years he has become very spiritually minded and has been saying that "God is real, and you're not Him". is about the most important realization we should come to in this life. God can work mightily with a person like that. If Tucker hasn't yet heard and believed the biblical gospel and been saved, I pray, and believe that he will, receive it.

So how is a Christian supposed to live after putting 100% of their faith in Jesus?
There is a difference in trying to live according to the law because it is good to do so versus doing so because you believe you will otherwise go to hell. We are saved by faith, not by the law. The law becomes like an accuser, showcasing our lack of love for God and His standards. If we try to enter by our own efforts we shall surely fail. So, enter through Christ, by having faith in the grace that He has freely given!

Yeah he needs it. Because a man who has been so well learned and with so much knowledge having hear the Gospel probably at least a hundred times, HE NEEDS IT! I'd hate to stand before God having know the way of Truth and only rejecting it because I loved my sin more than God. God is so easy, he's so merciful and so willing to work with you, just come to him. Just repent from your unbelief and believe the Gospel.

It doesn't matter what you think, if life got in the way and you began to doubt your faith in christ when at one time you believed, your still saved becuase God believes and he keeps his promises. This channel talks about a passage that addresses this very question in the Bible. It talks about those that go back to work based salvation based on themselves even though they tasted the gift of God through grace.

I've seen people use this verse to preach something along the lines of "Its only faith, but your faith has to show good works (which are through the Spirit) for it to be genuine faith"
The part of the verse they use is "salvation through sanctification by the Spirt AND belief in the truth"

Great gospel message brother, but im a bit confused with the context of what tucker said about the people with Downs syndrome. Are you saying that the mentally handicapped are going to be held accountable for their innability to understand the gospel? I understand that all are under sin, but God makes exceptions, such as small children who haven't reached the age of accountability. Just looking for some clarification.

Because he believes that God will likely have mercy on people with Down syndrome or maybe North Koreans who are made to worship their leader as God from birth. My beliefs are close yours in many ways. I get uncomfortable with dogma. In the end God will be the judge. I personally do not know what his judgement will be on the many unfortunate people in this world. I don’t think Tucker knows either and that’s all he is saying. @@bighand1530 When it comes to the core principles of biblical Christianity we cannot compromise the gospel. However, if a person professes to be a Christian (As does Carlson) and yet appears to not to understand those core principles (Which is a subjective opinion). By the things they say and the actions they take I understand my brothers and sisters concern for that persons spiritual state. I would just caution jumpimg to conclusions about that persons salvation. If you profess the real Jesus Christ and not a counterfeit Christ. You are saved by grace period. We all get many things wrong theologically and sometimes do things out of our own ignorance. So, if someone feels Tucker is doing that then by all means pray for him. But don't question his salvation.
Could you explain acts 16:30. What does "thy house" mean? It seems that the direct family of the believer is also saved because of the faith of one family member. But I dont think thats what it really means.

I don't think Tucker was trying to be theologically accurate in that moment. His point was that intelligence doesn't guarantee that a person will make wise and good decisions, and that a person with low IQ can make wise and good decisions, and be more moral my relative degree. He just wasn't thinking theologically when he said that. Intelligence doesn't increase the liklihood of being moral is the point, neither does someone with low intelligence doom them to live more immorally.
The issue is the assertion that the Down syndrome are “more likely” to go to Heaven.
