- Sora is here to finish the Super Smash Bros. amiibo lineup, so it was time to do a video where I show my full amiibo collection. (Excluding cards, Skylanders, etc.) Total of 226, including gold versions and other variants.

It's pretty special in a way that the N64 original portrayed them as figurines come to life, so amiibo and Smash Bros really work together.
I am speechless. This takes dedication. For the average person, I would say to stick with your favorite franchise and collect all the amiibo in that franchise, but this is the ultimate collection 🤩
Haha, thanks. :D But I kinda view amiibo as that single franchise, I don't have to collect anything else when I just collect amiibo. :)
I almost have all of the Pokémon Amiibo. I’m only missing Shadow Mewtwo (which I don’t mind as it is. Only a card), Pokémon Trainer, and Detective Pikachu. I am pretty much done collecting Amiibos unless new Zelda, Kirby, or Bayonetta Amiibos are ever released.
Bet there aren't many complete amiibo collections out there. I never was into this kind of collecting but am glad you enjoy it.
They were all the rage back when there were a couple dozen of them, but yeah, I guess people drop off when you have to find Japanese Monster Hunter amiibo. :)

Its great to see your collection of amiibos. Its crazy to see this collection started back 10 years ago. Hope to see you still collecting them in the future. And here's hoping Nintendo's next console will continue to support amiibos as well.
Yeah, where do the years go... I'm sure Nintendo will support NFC's in the future as well, seems like a no-brainer.

I’ve been collecting amiibo since the start and I even have stuff like some of the cards, the Skylander figures and a Gold Mario Power Up Band from Universal Studios

I honestly never thought they would last this long. Again, I have underestimated Nintendo and their perseverence.
Yeah, I think they're in a nice spot now with these, just making a few here and there and making some profit while people are happy to buy them.
I'm still absolutely speechless that the entire base Smash bros roster throughout it's 25 year history is finally in figure form. February 16th, 2024 will never be forgotten.
Feels good to have it finished! Before the next Smash on Switch 2, or something. :D

Oh yeah, there was kinda this specialty around them, everybody wanted them.
I think Sora will be the last amiibo in general, as they started with Smash and it seems fitting to end them the same way. Also there are no new amiibo on the horizon at this time and with them raising the price of them so much (looking at you, Noah and Mio) it seems like they're sweeping up as much money as they can from the diehard collectors before waving these off into the sunset and doing something new for the next gen console.
I'd be very surprised if they stopped altogether, seems like an easy new revenue stream. But it's true, no new amiibo on the calendar, probably for the first time... ever?
Collecting Amiibo became a much deeper rabbit hole than anyone predicted. I have a small collection of 50 figs and even that number is hard to find space to display. 😊

I've been a big amiibo collector from the beginning. I open all my amiibo as well but I keep them all in a glass display case. I do like collecting all non-figure amiibo as well. I only haven't gotten into the amiibo bracelets from the theme parks, although I do think they're cool.
Mine do collect a bit of dust, is your cabinet a big one?
@@finngamer yes, it's quite a large cabinet. It was actually a store display for Glass Baron. I have a video on my channel showing my gaming set up and the cabinet is towards the end of the video if you'd like to see it. But it has five levels so everything fits in the cabinet comfortably.

My collection is almost complete. But i have them all sealed, i like the back art. Some transparent plastic cases get yellow even stored away from sun.

What did you do with the boxes? I remember you unboxing some of these very carefully to keep the packaging as intact as possible. Awesome collection as always!
At first I did just remove the figure inside while leaving the plastic blister mostly intact, but I quickly ran out of room with that method. Now I just have the cardboard backs stored away, take way less room that way. :)
Been watching you for over 10 years now, like you I have the complete smash bros. I do have majority of the other sets. To me I’ve completed them all.

I have collected every single Smash amiibo but unfortunately I missed out on the official preorders. I was able to find one on eBay though so my collection will also be completed soon!

@@finngamer I live in Ireland so there were plenty of amiibo that I was never able to get without going online because we don’t have a lot of the exclusive retailers here. Tbf, some retailer exclusives could be found in regular stores in places like Italy (was able to get a bunch of rare ones there like Shulk, Wii Fit, Pit, Villager, Little Mac). I’m guessing Ireland just wasn’t prioritised because we’re not as big of a country as some other places in Europe. There used to be a toy store in my home town that stocked new amiibo regularly but they stopped after the Switch came out for whatever reason. In case you’re curious, the amiibo that took the longest to find was Lucario. For Ultimate, it was a lot easier as there was a GameStop near me that always got preorders earlier than places like Amazon. Unfortunately, they closed not long before Pythra released so I missed out on those (only just got them last week actually). For Sora, I WAS planning to preorder him from the official Nintendo store but they went up without my knowledge and they were out of stock when I found out. I had to resort to eBay after that (I think it’s arriving March 8th at the earliest according to the seller).
TL;DR: Sora got swiped from right under my nose. Looks like my collection 10 years in the making is going to go on for another month lmao.

This must of been hard to do because my little brother had alot but no where close to the amount that you have the Wii U wasn’t really prioritizing their games because the console only had a 5 year lifespan
I do have a good source for these, very rarely have I had to resort to going through multiple stores to find one.
I would legit pay you just to be able to admire such impressive collection in person 😅

Has anyone ever seen the gold amiibo exclusive to Nintendo tournaments in Japan? Like the gold monster hunter ones

Yeah, though as collectables I do like the fact that not all of them are common or easily available. Hope you'll get whatever you're looking for!
I totally love amiibos but I'm too cheap to get them on full price. So what I have done is picked used ones, from sales,. and so on. I think I have currently 40ish amiibos mainly from the smash bros series.

Do you think the giant amiibo in Nintendo kiosks in e3 and or pax like conventions actually work? If so those are truly the biggest amiibo 😂
I'm not a Nintendo guy nor a collector really, but I am considering to buy Sora and maybe Cloud (FF). Worst case they will be worth a lot later on right? By the way Playstation should do something like this with their own characters! Edit: There is, called Totaku, why haven't I heard of this at all..

I just started collection Amiibo but I think in 2 years it will be impossible because the value of most old amiibo with go up.
To be honest, I haven't looked at any of the values afterwards. :D

3500? Probably not worth it. But I've actually got a good deal on almost all of these, not paying full prices. Add in a few hundred in RUclips revenue... yeah, the joy they bring to my gameroom is worth the remaining price. :)

I did the maths myself and decided to only get a few, mostly Fire Emblem ones.
They’ll be highly collectible in the years ahead. There’s a few I’ve missed that I regret, like the glow-in-the-dark Boo. Maybe some day…
