*The EP kicks off with the lush title cut, "Afterlight." A club-centric, deep-progressive groove creates the foundation, upon which a sensual, after-hours aura is crafted. The percussion and rhythm remain minimal, permitting the atmospheric effects and subtle melodies to control the listener's attention, as they change and evolve with each new compositional turn. More specifically, the synthesized plucks create a driving sense of urgency and are paired perfectly with the more organic tones of the piano and vocals. In the breakdown, a haunting vocal motif is joined by an equally heartrending piano theme, the combination of which proves undeniably poignant. The ensuing drop, which contributes additional synth layers, only reinforces the emotional resonance of the tune.*
