Im an Apprentice Electrician here in Victoria, got my license suspended for using medicinal cannabis im prescribed due to a roadside test. Ive lost my license for 6 months, lost my job which subsequently put my apprenticeship on hold as its required for my line of work. I live alone and have to pay rent and bills but they dont seem to care. I waited another 28 days to reapply after completing a behaviour change program and having my fine put on a payment plan only to go to court at Moorabbin to barley speak a sentence after being sworn in and asked why the fine is not paid, I confirmed it was on a payment plan with fines vic, she wasnt happy and gave me a 3 month differal till the fine is payed. Total 10+ months before i can maybe get back on the road and back to full time work. This has affected my life and mental health greatly, Ive had enough.

The laws penalising drivers for mere presence and not impairment are profoundly wrong and a grave injustice to law abiding citizens.It's quite shocking.Australia is the only country in the world to do this to its citizens.
It is valid to add the cost of obtaining medicinal cannabis which is being taking advantage by charging much higher consultation fees and the cost of 30ml which is less than a months supply is CBD $115 and THC/CBD is $100. A consultation is $100. Prescriptions only last 5 months not 12 months as is the case for normal prescriptions. Thus forcing you to have regular consultations a educated guess would mean that is $3000 per annum and that is on a pension and up to $4000 without a pension.

I use medicinal cannibis and don’t drive has my licence suspended for being arrested with my oil on me without correct bottle had no label on it and was charged possession of illegal drug licence suspended even though I don’t drive. Wish I could- let’s change the laws. Yes let’s allow establish medicinal cannibis holders to drive
To allow Legal Medicinal Cannabis and not change the drug driving laws to suit is highly negligible and wrong! Why allow it if you haven't allowed for this! Totally irresponsible! I am Have a prescription and cannot use my medicine because i cannot lose my licence..

Seeing the quality of doctors now, self medicating is often safer. Big pharmaceutical companies just haven’t been in control of this product so our gutless greedy politicians will not allow legalising cannabis.
Before medical cannabis was even a thing, back in 2007 I passed my HGV Class 2 Test whilst being stoned. Passed HGV Class 1 in 2008 - stoned. So I tested at the required standard or higher to pass 2 HGV tests whilst being stoned on illegal cannabis. It does NOT impair driving IF you are used to the drug. So medical cannabis patients should be able to drive after taking their medication if they feel they are not impaired. Thankfully I now have a medical cannabis prescription, but here in the communist UK we might still be arrested and have to go to court where it SHOULD get thrown out. But who knows these days as we imprison people for posting comments online and or protesting non violently and legally against left wing Governments
