Just under 200 years ago, the Ruzhyner Rebbe Rabbi Israel Friedman bought for himself and for his generations of heirs the right to light the first Lag B’Omer bonfire on the roof of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai (Rashbi) gravesite on Mt. Miron. Over the past few decades, the Boyaner Rebbe - whose Hasidic dynasty is an offshoot of Ruzhyn, via Sadigura - has taken on himself to fulfill this holy rite.

While it might be more exciting, the Stoliners have an incredibly strict no pictures and no videos policy. Stolin has there own livestreaming service which they do not send out to anybody outside of their community.

Lag Ba'omer nowadays is far from biblical, far from the Tanakh, bonfire on the roof of a gravesite Hashem hates it. It is NO HOLY RITE, since it is not Holy to Hashem!!!!!!
