    Thanks for the video and congrats on top 8! I'm wondering if there's a reason why you chose not to run any removal options like mega death or giga death? I really like it against bugs as an out vs tyrant or other decks that are unaffected by digimon effects.

      Thanks man! It was a great feeling.
      I opted out of removal options as I found between the dual tamer and most of my digimon I could answer most things needed.
      I find that tyrant imperial can usually outspend them by a great deal and the redirect are even less or a problem now with the new option.
      I also just wanted consistency as best as possible.

      @@andrewjones2295 Thanks for your insight! Do you feel you would still be comfortable against a nume/wideboard matchup w/o it? I know you can do some good control with the BT16 pail suspending everything.

      @firegio123 the numerous match up can be tricky and it honestly comes down to their Aces mainly and if I have bt16 dragon mode ready to counter them. Valk ave and ruin mode are really tough. With nume, really you just need to try and out pace them, or try to control the board with cards like togemogu. If your lucky enough to survive 3 turns, paladin ace might even be relevant there. Tyrant can be annoying but generally you eventually hit critical mass and swing with 7 - 10 digis. They can't redirect them all!

    Any advice on blue magna x matchup?

    • @andrewjones2295
      @andrewjones2295 3 месяца назад +2

      @Sudrabainsv2 if you are having trouble, togemogu helps alot as you can strip the top source if unprotected. It can also block to help prevent the restand. Bt16 exvee can also help push lethal and well timed aces can of course be really good. The new option also let's you play more aggressively into their blockers as they have to decide if letting checks go through if worth it vs blocking into a free imperialdramon.

    I noticed no BT12 Imperialdramon fighter mode. Did you ever miss it?

    • @andrewjones2295
      @andrewjones2295 3 месяца назад +1

      Hey,
      I missed it sometimes and for a long time I ran 2 ace 1 bt12. More often than not I needed to to be the ace and it wasn't, so unfortunately I had to cut it to make room. I still think it's a great card of which I have 3 amazing alt arts, so it kills me not to play it, but unfortunately it was costing me games. I couldn't justify 3 ace and 1 bt12 in the deck without damaging consistency even more

      @andrewjones2295 I just find that when I have imperial dragon mode I don't always want to use dm effect to play an ACE bc im afraid of overflow, so.i.like the idea of the bt12 one

    • @andrewjones2295
      @andrewjones2295 3 месяца назад +1

      @thedoublehelix356 that's fine and if it works for you great!
      My issue with that is generally when you trigger bt16 dragon mode you want to resolve a removal.
      Depending your opponents board, there's a decent chance that bt12 won't actually be able to remove the threat you want it to. The blocker might come up, but they also might just remove it before that. Ace is very reliable at removing problems, however there is of course the overflow which is what makes it such an interesting risk/reward decision.

    What was the thought process behind having the Davis instead of the new Davis & Ken? I heard you say it's much worse but I don't think I agree. It's a free blitz and helps cover one of the holes in partition. It's also able to be grabbed by any of the searchers.

    • @andrewjones2295
      @andrewjones2295 3 месяца назад +5

      Without a reliable way to play it for free it does much too little for way too much memory. It also only rewards you for being in a bad position instead of proactively getting you ahead. Blitz is cool, but not needed.
      By contrast
      Bt3 davis memory sets and searches two key pieces for 4 cost.
      Davis Ken provide 4 memory in value every turn and source strip for 4 memory.
      I can confidently play them because the return on investment is reliable opposed to 5 memory tamer that I will maybe get some value out of.

    Eh. Loses against red hybrid

    • @andrewjones2295
      @andrewjones2295 2 месяца назад +1

      Red hyrbid is probably a 50/50. Primogenitor makes it much more doable as you can survive the pop then FM Ace bottom deck the stack.
      Definitely not an instant win/loss for either but you are welcome to your opinion

      Ace cards are typically great into Red Hybrid since their main game plan is TURN CARD SIDE WAYS so I don't think the match up is bad.
