Jocelyn, you are a wonderful influence on all of us. I see such a difference in attitude in Casey about what to buy or not buy since the first few videos with her. A thrifting expedition even on Sunday! If you love art glass as much as me...and Jocelyn, Season 2 of "Blown Away", a glass blowing competition show is now on Netflix. It is just pure joy watching these artists, just like watching CLL videos. I'm not shilling anything, just sharing!
I always judge my purse how many bottles of wine I can fit in my purse. The most was four bottles. But I always try to make sure you can’t tell just looking at the purse.

The copper pan with the long handle was a bed warmer. Starting in the 1500's to the 1800's people would put some coals inside, close the lid and run the pan between the sheets to warm up the bed. You couldn't leave the pan in the house because of the exhaust from the hot coals might kill you!
Hot bricks or stones were also used in the bedpans to warm sheets.

Also glad most was not a voice over, it's fun to hear the funny remarks/exchanges with your shopping companions. Love that you always give information on items on the shelves, I've watched some who just film and don't even give a decent view of items, I stopped watching those. Thank you, yours are helpful.
Handbags/purses...I’m 64 & after years of carrying too much in my purse and resulting aching shoulders, I now only buy backpack types for my regular purse and general carrying around. If I really have a lot of heavy, bulky items, I will use one of my roller carts. Makes life a lot easier on the bones.
I believe the Royal Worcester is a cake server , because it is squared off, the pie server would be pointed.
On a "durk' and "dimsal" morning I am really glad you two are so quiet and shy.

Wow. This episode was made for me. The carnival glass candy jar was one my Grandmother had while I was little. Also, I can't believe you found Marshall Pottery all the way where you are. They are closed down now, but they had a viewing area where you could eat ice cream and watch them make pottery. Good memories.

That was a great thrift store. Such good prices. That Kewpie doll reminded me of one I had when I was very little. The head could turn. One side she was happy and the other she was sad. They probably didn’t survive very long with little ones turning the heads so much
If I'd had one I don't think I'd have turned it to the sad side!
The Tea Pitcher from Marshall, Texas came from Marshall Pottery. Years ago you could watch the potters make the items there. Marshall Pottery is still in business but they not longer make pottery there. I will have a personalized coffee mug from there. I live in Bossier City, Louisiana and Marshall is about 54 minutes west of us. Great find.

I would had gotten amethyst bracelet as well. Amethyst is my son’s birthstone. It would be constant wonderful reminder of my beloved son. Plus , amethyst is one of my favorite gemstones. Luckily, I have darling hubby and son who both knows what makes me tear up in joyful and loving tears when they get me gifts with sentimental memories to hold in my heart.

I love it when you just zoom onto one shelf and hold the camera still so I can see everything, most videographers move so fast you can’t see all the neat stuff, only the one item they are interested to in. This lets us older ladies time to browse a little, half the fun anyway, even if we are not buying it

I used to work at a thrift store and a customer found a $100 bill in a wallet that was for sale.
A few weeks ago I found $280 in gift cards in a coat I bought at the thrift store. It was in a Christmas card and had the name of a local pastor on it. He was very happy to get them back!

I’ve found a $100 bill in a Christmas ornament thingie (was a gift card holder apparently) that someone had donated to the shop I was manager of. My boss/former friend would’ve thrown the ornament away without even looking. I did the right thing and gave him the $100. He didn’t even bother to toss me like $20 for gas when a)I was the one who found it and b)was broke AF and driving an hour each way to work...
Friday I went to the bins and found $43 in cash in the pocket of a jacket :)
