What No Child Should Have to Endure

If you ever felt like you had to grow up too soon, you’re not alone.
When I was 11, keeping the house clean wasn’t just a chore-it was survival. If I wanted my school allowance, I had to work for it. My 7-year-old sister had the same burden. Our home was messy, overwhelming, and filled me with shame. I never let anyone see inside-except my friend, Prapassorn, who showed up and helped me clean.
At school, I was given a ‘Good Daughter Award.’ I thought it meant I was special, but now I realize no child should have to bear that weight.
If you’ve ever carried responsibilities far beyond your years, I see you. You deserved a childhood too.
