This isn't an issue with Fat Buu not being good enough. This is directly a result of the continuous shaft of villains. Extreme characters just aren't good enough overall. It's especially bad when the few good extreme characters we do get are locked to teams with no options like Evil Buu, If they had just not had Evil Buu restriced to a bad category and then we got a few more good options this would be less bad than it is now.
But villains have basically always been this way? There’s a reason why it’s usually better for f2p players are better off summoning for super class units, extreme characters just can’t compare most of the time.
Sure, you might miss some missions here and there, but that’s only 5-10 stones you’re missing out on.
For whatever reason, since before the 1st anni villains have been split up into teams via links(majin teams, wicked bloodline teams, cell teams, etc.), and whenever a new villain unit drops, they literally have to build a whole new team around them, or otherwise the villain is basically never used.
Because of this, I do say that fat buu isn’t good enough, because if fat buu was better, like if his revive covers the rotation or if he had a little bit more bulk pre-revive, it wouldn’t hurt so much when running these shitty villain characters.
Hell, in order to run his team at its best you basically have to run two f2p units. Compare that to goku who has a WAY better roster, agl ui goku, str vegito, both super eza’s, phy gogeta, etc.

@@parthapanicker8968 Yes this has always been the issue with extreme units I agree. They really need to overhaul villain links and normalize them, I don't care if we have to lose strong links like Majin or whatever just let Zamasu and Buu link 4/7 consistently and villains will be in a much better spot.
Fat Buu is good enough, one good unit is not good enough to carry weak options surrounding them no matter how good that unit is, Beast Gohan isn't making saviours a good catergory. If you give Beast Gohan's exact kit to lr jiren and u11 is still an unrunnable category.
One unit cannot carry dead options around them.
Fat Buu's problem is still the fact that they just neglect extreme units so heavily and so consistently.

Alright Truth, you've convinced me. I was an SSJ3 Goku hater, but I'm not a blind hater. I've seen him in use, and in the current meta, he's a top 4 unit in the game. Buu having over 4M DEF with guard at the end of the fight is really funny though.
Angel SSJ3's aging could go in 1 of 3 directions.
1: We get a bunch of short fights (Fusion Zamasu), and him and MUI Goku stay on top
2: We get mid length fights (SBS Beast Gohan) and he follows normal TUR progression of still being good but slowly falling off as the final phase gets stronger and stronger
3: We get really long fights (SBS Gogeta/Movie Memorial Beast) and he gets 1 shotted by everything and falls off a cliff

Honestly this is definitely just everyone around buu throwing and rng catching up to truth lol. I dont really care that much about either buu or ssj3 since they arent really my type of units but this isnt really much of an indication between the two other than the obvious fact that goku is better in short content.

I get the reasoning of trying to showcase the double leader fat buu but this would have been so much better on Andriod 21s team or fusion zamasu's team. Would have been a good showcase of how much he can help a team other than his own.

@@Dr.JonathanCrane I did but that’s because not only are there few extreme units for buu’s team that are reliable picks, Buu only has guard with defense which works only if the boss doesn’t hit hard right away. SSJ3 Goku doesn’t really have to worry about that since all he needs to build up is dmg reduction while being a hard defensive option for his team.
@@kratos6175buu has guard way better defense ghost usher heals and a revive. In no way is just damage reduction and guard anywhere near that

@@BrandonStone-no1zr I do agree Buu brings a lot to the table, but his issue is that his revive requires that he himself dies, which still requires that his team lives while he dies. His ghost usher is good, but it again ties into his revive happening. I’m not by any means saying Buu is bad at all, but I feel that SSJ3 Goku kit just seems way too reliable in comparison to Buu, not to mention the fact that being Super Class version of LR teq zamasu and agl golden frieza just adds to his value.

God I fucking hate bosses in this game now, even watching truth play with his crazy unrealistic box and link levels, constantly getting one shot. I'm so goddamn close to deleting this game and it pisses me off because I used to genuinely have fun with it, even "good" units get fucked out of relevancy in like a couple months except for the lucky few and yet they design every boss around the lucky few units that are made strong enough. @@Goku17yen we literally saw how this video went. Maybe you should use your eyes more. Phy gotenks died to 1 single normal (700k+). In this fight and in this team there was no reason to bring him instead of evil buu.
What does typing matter when both die to any hit? If both die to hits regardless, you bring the one who can avoid the hits better. Just cuz he got smoked doesn’t mean it was a bad choice. In this scenario, it was literally just 1 hit that was aimed so survival KO would’ve clutched out. Still.. that’s kinda rare and unpredictable. But if you can do it better, post the videos like truth does. 🤷🏽♂️ id watch

both die to normals in this setup aswell as in this fight (unless phy gotenks has done some build up or triple sad)
buu has a 60% chance to dodge+ hipo dodge and he survives one additional hit which allows him to have another chance to dodge which is huge especially in slot 3.
while gotenks has the 70% chance to dodge+ hipo doge only and he dies if both fail as we saw in this video.
Now since the fight is deadly early one evil buu helps the team even without the full majin power buff (60% instead of 70%) since him surviving with only just one hit allows int buu to get his revive easier.
Of course evil buu can get caught however in this fight under these circumstances evil buu is easily the better option to bring since cell max can get debuffed later one aswell.

But when it’s comes to any chance less than 100%, the odds exist that your plans fail. Attack distribution, super attack placement, etc. literally anything can cause your run to fail. Your argument is not a bad one, and if you hopped in a run and lost turn 1 because of Evil buu, it wouldn’t invalidate the point your making. My point is that truth’s logic here is sound regardless of the fact that you would do it differently.
Um skinny buu? I mean I'm no smarty but I'll take thar 60% dodge over 70% with type and class disadvantage
In all fairness, Skinny Buu has like, 400k max defense. Type and class disadvantage don't matter when he would also be one shot anyway.
Personally, I'd bring him for his "survive k.o. attacks" mechanic, which would work well if you're running him on slot 3(gives him an extra chance to dodge), but the only real difference between him and Gotenks is that he can tank 1 attack at the start of the fight, and Gotenks can tank normals here once fully built up.

@@TheVipez8740No1OPPBut Cell Max is a longer fight? The fight can last up to 10 turns depend on your team so the problem isn't that the fight is short, Cell Max just start strong and Buu and everyone else on the team don't get going until a few turns have passed.
