I tried getting #2 wire pulled out of the plug even tried after removing the front white clip fully out, it would not pull out. Used needle nose pliers thinking I needed to pull harder than what I could do without and ended up pulling the wire apart. Guess I am not going back to stock easily. Found a company is selling an adapter where you just unplug the green plug and put the adapter In between and done but they want $70 for it. If I were doing it again, would go that route for ease of use and easy back to stock
Anyone know if there is an issue with leaving the grey wire connected and jumping pins 1 and 2 with a paperclip? I jumped the connectors today but then pulled out the paperclip, worrying that without the grey wire snipped or pulled that it would cause issues with my BCM... Anyone?
Do you need to disconnect pin2 from the board or leave it connected? Is there any risk of current back-feeding into the board from pin1 to pin2 when the lights are on and your driving over the "speed limit shut-off"?
Great, thanks a lot ! Initially i thought that this option can be activated by ForScan. Finally i can use those lights whenever i want. Much appreciated !
I think the easy and fastest way would be to cut the middle wire and just install a jumper wire between the first and the pulled wire.. At least I think that is what I will try with my f350
Ok now im brainstorming, I have a raptor so this is easier, you can take uplift switch #6 I believe is just 5amps, run that wire down to the green plug, take out the constant hot on the plug, cap it off and replace with the uplift switch hot. Then as long as the switch is on the buttons, for the spots will work at all times. At least this way they are on a relay and if you forget to turn them off for whatever reason they will still turn off when the key is off.
Would it not be better to run a acc 12v to pin 2 so the lights turn off when the car is off? instead of bridging constant 12v from pin 1 and accidently leaving lights on.?
i have a 2015 XLT model, but my truck doesn’t have the black housing with the circuit board and clips. it’s just this little black plastic holder for the green and black cube connector. what part/module am i missing?

Hi Ariel. You can either remove the pin or remove the wire. The main thing is removing the connection on middle pin. You still need to bridge pin 1 & 2 together for the constant power. Hope this helps, good luck
