    I tried getting #2 wire pulled out of the plug even tried after removing the front white clip fully out, it would not pull out. Used needle nose pliers thinking I needed to pull harder than what I could do without and ended up pulling the wire apart. Guess I am not going back to stock easily. Found a company is selling an adapter where you just unplug the green plug and put the adapter In between and done but they want $70 for it. If I were doing it again, would go that route for ease of use and easy back to stock

      I jumped the connectors today but then pulled out the paperclip, worrying that without the grey wire snipped or pulled that it would cause issues with my BCM...

    Ok now im brainstorming, I have a raptor so this is easier, you can take uplift switch #6 I believe is just 5amps, run that wire down to the green plug, take out the constant hot on the plug, cap it off and replace with the uplift switch hot. Then as long as the switch is on the buttons, for the spots will work at all times. At least this way they are on a relay and if you forget to turn them off for whatever reason they will still turn off when the key is off.

  • @GearsRC
    @GearsRC 3 года назад +1

    Would it not be better to run a acc 12v to pin 2 so the lights turn off when the car is off? instead of bridging constant 12v from pin 1 and accidently leaving lights on.?

      Yes! These or the loaded tow mirrors. You just need the mirrors, wires, door buttons, dash buttons, and module.

      Ricardo's Workshop hey one more thing do you happen to know anything about these fords like in general this one time I passed through some pretty deep flooding and ever since my hazards turn on all of a sudden or my parking brake lights pops up all the time no one seems to know the problem

    Excellent video! I love those lights but from the factory they're fucking worthless. They turn off at 10mph which I can kind of understand but once you're moving I have to come to damn near a complete stop you turn them on. They will NOT come on at 8 or 9 mph. What's the point in them if you have to come to a stop to get them to come on?? I'll definitely be doing this mod this weekend!

    There's another video of a guy that doesn't take it apart and uses just a paper clip and electrical tape.

    • @ricardosworkshop
      @ricardosworkshop  3 года назад +2

      I saw that but a paperclip is probably not the best idea. And it sends electric current backup the wire to another module... could be fine but I think its risky.

      @@ricardosworkshop have tried to fiddle with this mod. Do you have a video or guidance for removing the #2 pin? I can't get the white housing removed to access the pin in the green housing.
