Why is it like odm gear like that

The new ODM gear (Season 4 onwards) is actually not the same as the previous seasons. Due to changes in warfare (such as fighting humans instead of titans primarily) it made sense for Paradis to change their weaponry accordingly. Take a look at official art from season 3 and 4 and you will notice that it isn't just the studio artstyle that changes - but an intentional change by the mangaka to the types of equipment that they use.
