Video Creator's Notes: Well, I finally was able to to complete an AMV using the live action version of The Lion King, and while I still do think it doesn't quite work all that well for AMVs since, to me at least, it looks like a nature documentary set to music and with a few effects and transitions added to it as I've stated previously. Despite this fact though, I do think this turned out alright for what it is. Since the film is so stunning on its own, I didn't really feel the need to add much to the video, other then transitions and a select few effects that matched the lyrics or added a little more movement to a scene. Not much of a dedicated storyline to this one. Mostly just going with the lyrics, showing how, even though Simba lost someone very important to him in the form of Mufasa, he still has Nala, who more than makes up for the love he's missing from his father.
On a bit of a more personal note, I'd like to dedicate this video to my brother, who sadly passed away earlier this year after a hard fought struggle with cancer. I tend not to be much of an emotional person if I can help it, but I miss him dearly. He loved The Lion King, and the live action movie was one of the last films we were able to watch together. I've been wanting to dedicate a video to him for a while now but it's been too hard to think about. Of course he'll never get to see this video or read what I wrote here but regardless, I miss you and I'm sorry for anything I ever said that might have hurt your feelings. I'm sorry I didn't get to spend more time with you when you were sick. I'm sorry for everything and I hope you're at peace and no longer suffering. I know we will see each other again one day but until then, I will always cherish the memories we had together. I'd also like to thank my loving wife for supporting me through this. Without her, I'd be a lot worse off and wouldn't have much of anything to live for, so thank you.
