Visiting with a group is recommended as the road goes through Dense forest and incase of vehicle breakdown getting help on time is a Concern, So take decision based on that.

I have seen people fishing there and cookingas well, so I think it might be allowed.
No fishing is not allowed. The permission has been denied from Karnataka state forest officials not to catch fish.

as DABBA GULI separately it is "DABBAGOULI" it's one word it is a Kannada word which named due to the Dabbaguleshwara tempel.
Seperating DABBA & GULI gives is totally different meaning...!!!!!!
You can see thousands of Forrest Cows & bulls roaming around.,
Don't go with bike not safe.
Don't prepare non-veg at least 500 meters radious to Temple.
Shiva temple is very vibrating n powerful. Don't harm cows,
Staying after 5.30 not safe...

No, You can't camp there as its within the wildlife sanctuary and the forest guards asks to return before 6pm, there is a forest check post 3km before reaching the place.

I have stayed nights in dabgauli forest by the river bank in our tent. Its haunting at night as you can hear animals sounds and the sound of flowing stream. Best part is to star gazing at mid night. But now public isn't allowed after dusk. Must be a little aware of animals.

1. The place is really nice. Plus point- not crowded.
2. Road in the last 16-17 km is not good. Not easy for hatchbacks. Avoid if it rains..it may be dangerous ...hilly narrow road with loose boulders and not safe for new drivers...I took my ignis..saw santro..ppl have done in alto also.
3. At 2 points they collect entry fee...50 and 100 for each car...they give receipts but some bloggers have said no entry fee.not sure if they cheated us

Yes, You can, its not deep but depends upon rain or Monsoon season. I saw people were taking bath

If it's a forest don't get down anywhere because of animals. No honking, no flash light, no head lights, don't off your vehicle when you see wild animals. No flash in camera. I leart all this from a experienced friend

No, it's 3km and 3 to 4 places little tricky, hatchback can handle in a dry weather, but Hatch back Like EON with low ground clearance might be an issue

Recently visited again and roads improved, Now Sedan can go though 4 to 5 km you will get mud road.

I modified it in one of a small Carpenter shop near Hosa Road, Bangalore. Basically any carpenter can do it as you notice its just 2 Wooden boxes fitted with Screw to the Bottom.

We (3 families with kids) are looking for a place around 1-1.5h from ECity. We need a place where we can sit and eat pre cooked food and spend like 2h.
Please recommend some places. I know it's a tough ask at 1-1.5h
I can Think of Thattekere Lake or Muninagara Dam.. Both are fine.. Thattekere Lake is closed for Tourists however you can sit at the temple Premises near it and have some time there, Sorrunding is really awesome. Ask the first gaurd there he was allowing till temple.

Dear sir, thanks for sharing this place. Places very beautiful and scenic. However from my experience and advice I would recommend families not to go here. It is not worth the risk. Vehicles getting stuck lot of times. And in case of a breakdown the chances of which are high, there is no mobile signal. I would rather recommend gaganachukki which is much safer

NIKHIL ROY Its a thick forest bro., elephants, mongoose, snakes are always here and there., its quite risky and you should have a permission from the forest officer for all those camping so a guard or someone would be with you throughout
No, You can't Camp there it's a restricted Forest Zone and there is an Antipoching Forest house, You have to come back or you need to check with the Antipoching forest dept. staff there.

The temple is just 200 meters from the River, Reach before 8AM till 3pm they allow. As this is inside a wildlife sanctuary.

Not much of a place as to spend an overnight after the 3 hrs drive! Yes, the journey takes through a beautiful terrain, greenery and deep forest areas. It's only worth the scenic drive through the forest! He should have emphasised on the safe and beautiful stop overs.
Defenately it's not a place to stay as it's a deep forest and no options available.. just fine for day trip from Bengaluru.
