If Wonder Woman was alone with Fausta when she was strapped to a table while she was powerless, that woman would've given her such severe punishment. Apparently, Fausta wasn't trusted to be alone with the amazon, who was lucky that she got her belt back when the bad guy refused to believe the belt works for Wonder Woman, among other her other secrets.
This really was one the best episodes, with so much in it when I remembered it I thought it was a two parter. They played it so perfectly close to the Golden Age stories, with Diana being over confident and trapped by her own lasso to Fausta's change of heart. The only real change was the belt. In the comics originally she'd loose her strength only if her bracelets were chained together. I never did find out why they made the belt the key to defeating her.
One of the labors of Hercules was to obtain the girdle of Hippolyta. A girdle can also be a belt of sorts. When Hercules got the girdle, Hippolyta and the Amazons were enslaved. Perhaps Diana has her mother's belt in the TV series.

Wonder Woman was lucky that Fausta didn't ask her what the Amazon's secret identity is while she was bound with her own magic lasso for the 2nd time in this episode and that Fausta didn't decide to take the Amazon's tiara off her to get a better look at her face without it on her. Wonder Woman could've used the lasso on Fausta right after she got free when she got her magic belt back, but Wonder Woman decided to talk to her and hope that she comes to her senses later on. Too bad Fausta wasn't seen in the series after the show was moved to CBS-TV. If that happened, would there be an episode in which Fausta returns and is still reformed, or has turned back to being bad.

Fausta: Until I can figure things out Wonder Woman, you will stay right here and not cause any trouble for me. Okay Wonder Woman just quietly nods her head and patiently sits there. Then she reaches down toward her blue bottoms and tries to adjust them with her hands tied tightly together. Then she watches Fausta walk up to her with a white bandana. Fausta: I need time to think. Please, open your mouth so I can gag you. Wonder Woman opens her mouth and Fausta stuffs the bandana into her mouth. Then she grabs a roll of duck tape and tapes Wonder Woman's mouth shut. WW:(muffled speech) You won't succeed Fausta. Fausta: oh Wonder Woman, such a sensitive mind you have.
After Wonder woman was strapped down to the backboard, the Nazi leader and Fausta decided to just leave her here. Leader: Nonsense Fausta, this army base is heavily guarded 24/7. It would be a miracle if she got out of here without her magic lasso and the belt. So I say we just leave her here. Fausta: Very well sir. Wonder Woman, I bid you a fond farewell. But first. Fausta walks up to the backboard and very aggressively tightens the straps binding wonder woman to the backboard. WW:(Sexy Grunt)Easy there Fausta. That really hurts. Then the other guard walked up to Wonder Woman and very lightly laid down 2 layers of duck tape over her mouth. Then another woman with fluffy blonde hair enters the room. This woman is wearing a skin tight white unitard with a silver belt and white boots. Aresia: You rang master Fausta? Fausta: Aww Ms.Aresia, I need you to stay here and keep an eye on Wonder Woman. Do not let her try and make you doubt yourself. Aresia: I promise you Ms. Fausta: Wonder Woman, I would love for you to meet my lovely assistant, Aresia the grande. She was designed to be your equal, but now I think she is your superior. Aresia? Aresia pulls out a medallion with a green gemstone in the center of it. Fausta: if she manages to escape, use it on her. Aresia slowly shakes her head. Then she takes a seat at a desk chair across from Wonder Woman and just grins at her vindictively.
Hours later, Wonder woman is still strapped down to the backboard, half asleep. Still just staring back at Aresia with a curious look on her face. Aresia: well wonder woman I'd say good night, but I don't care how you sleep cause this is a prison. Bye With aresia gone Wonder Woman finally has a chance to escape.
Shortly after Wonder Woman infiltrated Fausta's castle, she began to explore the place looking for anything that doesn't belong there. Just then her eyes landed on a strange sight inside one of the rooms in the castle. That strange sight was a person. A person that bared a very striking similarity to Wonder Woman. The woman was wearing a skin tight dark red Unitard with a golden belt, the double W logo on her chest and golden star earrings. WW: I wonder who this woman is? As Diana continues to study her, the woman blinks her eyes and looks at wonder woman slowly walking around her in curiosity. Clone: Who are you? WW:(Gasp) Wonder Woman and her clone just look at each other for several mins before Diana said something. WW: Who are you? Clone: Ms.Fausta says my name is Wonder Woman. Who are you? WW: My name is also Wonder Woman. Did Ms.Fausta make you here. Clone: I believe so. Wonder Woman looked at her for a few more minutes before she had enough of her clones presence.
Diana turned around and continued to walk around the castle unaware that the clone was following her. Watching her curiously from a distance she watched her going through some of Fausta's belongings. Then the clone continued to follow her until she stopped by a tall vanity mirror in the hallway. The clone seemed transfixed on her own vanity because Diana managed to sneak past her without making so much as a single noise. Then her and Diana caught each other's Gaze in the hallway. The clones face was plain and unaware of the situation, while Diana went into primal fight mode. After eyeing each other up, the clones expression went from clueless to "I know why you are here" as her plain expression turned into a Wicked grin. Wonder Woman's face became a grim frown.
Then the clone looked down and adjusted her unitard while Diana fixed up her hair. Then the clone very slowly walks towards a phone in the middle of the hallway while swinging her hips to an imaginary song with a seductive pout on her face. To stop her from grabbing the phone, Diana instinctively grabs a vase in the hallway and throws it at the clone. The vase nearly hits her as she performs a flawless back flip, kicks herself off of the wall and thrusts herself into the air while performing an Ariel cartwheel. Then she lands in front of Wonder Woman, grabs her hand and punches Diana in the face. Then Diana punches her clone, turns her around and presses her up against the wall. WW: Easy there baby. You have no idea what is going on here. Then Diana splits her legs apart making it hard for the clone to move. Then she presses a button on her golden belt and starts talking. WW: Superman do you read me, I've got a little problem in Germany. Fausta made a clone of me and I found a strange plan in her office. She's gonna try and clone the other members of the league to replace us. Clone: If I may speak.... Then Diana throws her onto the floor and ties her up with the Lasso of truth. WW: Speak. Clone: ms.Fausta is planning on replacing you at the unity day parade in Metropolis next week and I was supposed to replace you. WW: really. Thank you for telling me.
Later that night while Wonder Woman is collecting all the evidence for Fausta's plan she is watching the clone struggle around on the floor. Holding her legs together. WW: Are you ok? Clone: May I please use the bathroom? I have had to go for a while. WW: Very well. Down the hall the clone walks into the bathroom with Diana present. Clone: Um, can you please unzip my dress for me. The zipper is in the back. She turns around and stands absolutely still while Diana unzips her dress. Then the clone wiggles out of the top of her unitard and pulls her pants down so she can use the bathroom. After finishing up, Diana rezips up her unitard and secretly unbuckles the clones utility belt. After doing that the clone managed to bash Diana in the lip and ran for the phone. Before she could get it, Diana caught up to her and began to repeatedly punch and kick her silly.
After a single swift blow to the face. Wonder Woman watched her clone stagger across the room and collapse into a small book shelf. Then she grabbed a book from the shelf and threw it at Diana, causing her to stagger back into a spinning desk chair. Then she collapsed onto the floor bashing her head on a window sill. Then she stood up and knocked her clone out with a single punch.
