- This is probably a video that is less typical for me, because I don't think I ever made anything alike, but I always wanted to make a tribute to some movies about pilots. In every movie about pilots I've watched I found myself crying in the end, because someone has to die in them, always, and usually it is one of the leading characters, one of the two or three who were good friends, but war had to take its victim. Bein pilot was and is very dangerous and still many have to sacrifice their lives all over the world and still many young boys dream to be pilots.
I combined russian song with Old Hollywood movie footage to make this video that is called "Two Of Them" and speaks about friendship, sky, war and sacrifice. This is not about love and romance, this is all about true friendship.
The 5 movies I used are Wings 1927 (Richard Arlen and Charles Buddy Rogers), The Lost Squadron 1932 (Joel McCrea and Richard Dix), The Eagle And The Hawk 1932 (Cary Grant and Frederic March),The Dawn Patrol 1939 (Errol Flynn and David Niven)and The Bombardier 1943 (Randolph Scott and Pat O'Brien).

This was wonderful. I didn't understand the song, but if you had chosen any other I don't think it would have had the same impact on me as this one did; it was beautiful. You did a wonderful job. And like you, whenever I watch classic Hollywood films about pilots, I, too, feel like crying.

WW1 films about pilots is my current obsession, so I simply have to thank you for this beautiful tribute to those remarkable movies - touching, moving, heartbreaking...

Thank you, Runell. I added translation of the lyrics, so maybe it will help the english speakers to understand the song better. But i think you're right, the mood is so right, that even without understanding the words one gets the message.
This is a wonderful tribute, Irina! All these emotional scenes of aviation, are very well put together. It's a great idea to pay tribute to the pilots. 5☆

yes, the Bombardier is the only one that is about WW2, I had to include it too, it is a wonderful movie.
