We repair the nozzle shields and combustion liners for C20 and C30. We replace all the parts; deflector, dome, inner band, outer band, saddle tangs, and one boss to call it a repair. We can replace the Hast X with Haynes 230 with our repair. We do the same with the combustion liners. We keep one part like the fuel nozzle or swirler. We built up the nozzle and swirler with weld and CNC to specifications. As good as new and less expensive.
Thanks for the video. I am. Inventor and mechanical and software engineer. Your place full of educational resource. Can I know where are you? I wish to learn from you or your place for few months.
Why do they have reverse flow combustor why do they reverse the flow ? Is there some advantage to doing that ? Is that a helicopter engine ? Big airline engine doesn't have reverse flow just some turboprop.
In short, it saves space, regular axial flow jer engine Is sometimes too long, so this design saves space, you also see this space saving in centrifugal compressor, which replaces few regular stages with one centrifugal stage. Keep in mind that some helis still use engines with standard axial flow, like Mi 8/17 with its klimov tv117.
Reverse flow is also used when propulsion isnt delivered derrectly by thrust of jet, instead it transfers its kinetic energy into mechanical by so called "free turbine", which drives propeller, rotor, or on tank sprocket, of course in all of them there is transmission to adjust rpm and torque.

We called that one part a sombrero. Obvious
congratulations from Brazil!!!!
very interesting video. Thank you for sharing.
Very interesting!
The way the holes on the combustion liner is a black ark.
Nossa que canal que achei. Muito bom.
Great!!

I like it
what about using high temp materials
Enggine boing apa itu mas broo,??..

You know that combustor with your hand print will have to be scrapped now...hydrogen embrittlement from the oils in your skin and all. 😏🇦🇺
my dad made me do this
🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎🍎
Copied russian vervion of this engine called as ГТД-350
Awesome, thanks for the info.
