ooohk..i saw that video and understood the concept
My theory is that Jimin almost dropped his mic to tell us to focus on the mic itself (I agree that it was not for the micdrop perfomance!!). Its colour combined with the colour of JKs mic...the two of them together on screen with their colours. I think that this was the hint - disguised as a hint for micdrop for all the other viewers who wouldn't care about that for more than a second

The mic drop/‘slip up’ Jimin had when Jungkook mentioned secrets or whatnot, I genuinely think it was just them hinting at Mic Drop being a performance they were gonna do. Jimin was holding the mic super lose before he ‘dropped’ it. We’ve seen dozens of videos of Jimin doing tricks and such with his mic, and he rarely drops or nearly drops his mic accidentally.

@@luciefavier187 I think it was mostly scripted, or at the very least planned. It would be kinda awkward to say the whole group has a secret, then to only talk to one person in the group. I think that they way they executed the secret was good. The secret was that Mic Drop was gonna be performed later on (like honestly who expected it we could’ve had a new remix with Steve Aoki for all we knew)
I can see why it could’ve been another scenario of jikook building up to their relationship being shared (the vlive where Jin and RM were about to poop their pants, Jungkook teasing during magic shop concerts, etc) but like the reason I pretty much don’t believe it’s that is cuz RM didn’t look more anxious than usual when Jikook were saying their things. Usually when jikook is doing a couple thing, he gives them a look, and he didn’t give the look that time XD
-sorry that was really long, tl;dr: the secret was Mic Drop and it was between jikook cuz it would be awkward to have it be a group secret, in terms of scripting things for a show.
Do you really think Mic drop was THE SECRET? Steve Aokis appearance was no secret. We all know MIC DROP would be performed theres no other huge hit with BTS to perform on NYE. Why say it was a secret BETWEEN JUNGKOOK AND JIMIN only. If it was MIC DROP, like the rest of the group didn't know?? Come on guys they're hinting AGAIN.
