I’ve been watching you since way back when you started your channel,when you were still working and the boys went to your in-laws to be looked after by them and Bobby ,in the military didn’t even know you had a RUclips channel. You have come a long way and done so much since then. My favourite memory will always be when the microwave blew up and you just carried on cleaning.. I think I commented on that one that I’d have been flat on my back from fear . But you,you just said well, need a new micro and carried on. Well done to both of you. A real success story. ❤

I have minimal candles and they are for practical use- power outages in the winter-but they are pretty; I am allergic to most scented candles (the chemicals in them affect my eyes and skin) and I also forget to either snuff them out or turn off the candle warmer, so 100% natural essential oils and strategically placed diffusers with auto-off are my go to’s. We once lived in a 3,000 sqft home, and downsized when the kids left home so now in a 1,000 sqft home, but I was always a minimal decor person for the seasons except for Christmas- a change in faux florals, changing out the 2 exterior door wreaths a few changes in pillow covers and throw blankets, candle colors, some seasonal sculptures and bowls and adding copper throughout the house for fall and changing the “flavors” in my diffusers. Again, other than Christmas, my seasonal decor fits in one 64qt storage bin each for each season, so 3 storage bins total. Now Christmas is about 10- 64qt storage bins not including the 2 artificial Christmas trees. Your decor is beautiful by the way.

You could use candle warmers so that you won't have to light them. It melts them on a tiny little burner & the smell comes out just as much. The room looks lovely!

I feel you on the bath & body works feeling you have to get something for the seasons. For me, I am doing my best to remove toxins from my home and their candles are not the healthiest. But it is so so hard to break that habit. I also use oil diffusers and found a clean candle co. in the US that has seasonal scents. I do buy a couple for Fall, Christmas and Summer. I love the flame during the cooler months. I've loved watching your reno projects and you home looks beautiful for Fall!! I can't wait for my favorite - Christmas!!

Since my knee surgery I have gained strength so this year I have renewed my thrift store hobby/obsession. For months I have been buying fall decor whenever I find it at thrift stores and tucking it away here and there in my house. It is going to be so fun to get it all out. It is going to feel new to me and not the cookie cutter, same decor from the home stores that everyone else has. So I am anticipating fall decorating!! Thanks!

I understand you tubers wanting to decorate early for content. Last year I decided to follow suit as I was excited for fall and so over all the summer heat. This year I just have zero desire to decorate until at least Sept. 1st.

Last year, it was a little ridiculous. I had nearly every room decorated. By the time the week of Halloween came I was so over fall, I already had my Christmas tree up the day BEFORE halloween. It was the same with Christmas -a tree in every single room. Just way over the top. And because it was so much stuff I never got it all put away. There’s still Christmas stuff sitting in my family room. This year I’m determined to downsize and keep it minimal. I’ve already got rid of a huge carload of stuff to donate. I know there’s going to be more fall and loads more Christmas that needs to go.

I probably have 100 candles. I was tempted to do bath and body again. But I deleted my app so I would not be tempted. You are right. It is expensive. My thing was when they had a sale on candles I would always buy way too many, your decorating is beautiful. I decorate more like you. I love the traditional colors.

I get why you’re excited to decorate Cambriea. Fall is my favorite time of year! 🍁 We’re in Texas and it’s been 🔥 for weeks so I am holding off. I sure am dreaming of some cooler weather that’s for sure! We built our house in 2019/2020 & after three years I am finally getting a feel where to put all of my decor & my style has changed.

I treat myself to winter/Christmas candles every year now that my boys are older. Love them!
I love candles too but am cutting back, Goose creek is where I get mine but I genuinely want the vibe from them and have been saying I need to change to a diffuser lately so I’m on the opposite end where I’m just making the switch.

I used to feel the same way about the candle thing. But I’m an empty Nester and the candles are back. Although not necessarily Bath and body brands..sometimes Walmart! I don’t use the diffusers because I have a lot of mahogany furniture and I find that the mist is damaging to my wood. So, I use a wax warmer in the front entrance of my house & one in the back..which is my kitchen eat-in-kitchen area. Also one in my bedroom. I’m in central California & it’s 101 today so as much as I’d like to start my fall decorations it just doesn’t make sense given it’s totally a opposite vibe outside. However I’m definitely going to add to my fall seasonal collection. Beside the vibrant color & the changes of the weather it also signifies a new change is coming… love your inspiration…thanks so much, it all looks so beautiful & cozy. If you want good candles, on Thursday at our city hall there’s a farmers market. Someone usually has some there and they smell amazing. Also more natural no harsh chemicals

I don't use scented candles because of asthma but if it makes you feel better about the candle hoarding thing, we should all have a stash of candles somewhere when we live in Florida. Believe me when things get REAL with a hurricane...all that stuff is very hard to find.
I won't do fall decorations until after Labor day holiday.
