    is there a specific range of tidal coefficient that you find is more favorable to Grouper & snapper?

    Do you use/sell jig heads made with circle hooks or regular J hooks? What kind of snappers are you catching?

    • @chadkloft8836
      @chadkloft8836 4 года назад

      We have swing jigs with circle hooks and regular jigs with J-Hooks. The snapper that we catch are called mangrove snapper

    What knot do you each prefer to use for the jigs

    I have been trying to find some new spots and watching your videos so thank you, do you find your spots are generally channel side of the edge, on the edge, or non-channel side of the edge? Thanks

      the spots are on all three. There really isnt alot of consistancy to where any of the locations are, which is great, because some days they are on shallow spots, while other trips they are in 42'

    Todd seems to lose more fish than Chad, just sayin! Knots or maybe horsing them a little too much for that 20lb leader. 🙄

    • @chadkloft8836

      we are using the same leader, it he is just not on the fish as fast because he is talking.....

    I have watched allot of your videos. I see you guys snap lines way to often...Over and over. It drives me nuts! Why don’t you use heavier line and leader? Increasing your braid and leader by 10lbs-20lbs isn’t a noticeable difference. Your in 50ft of water, what braid/leader are you using?

    • @chadkloft8836
      @chadkloft8836 4 года назад

      The braid is not what typically breaks. Normally it is the 20# leader that breaks. If we move up to 30# or 40# leader the bites slow down or stop.

      The snapper in the bay are extremely line shy. I’ve had them come up in the chum and they won’t hit 20lb fluoro leader. I’ve gone down to 10lb and had to use a very tiny hook. Sometimes I start with a jig and after you catch one or two snappers they won’t hit the jig anymore. If you go up to 30-40 leader you will still get the grouper. Fishing the bay isn’t easy and it can be extremely frustrating. I watch these guys videos and he definitely knows what he’s doing.

      Todd uses 8 lb braid Chad uses 10 lb braid and they both use 20lb visso floral carbon leader mostly loop knot
