I really do appreciate your channel - you've saved me an absolute fortune with now having the confidence to tackle almost anything on my boxster - before, I would just send the car into the dealer, but now take great pleasure in doing all my own work - fantastic work and keep it up, as I'm sure there are many more 'new mechanics' like me out there! I've seen people on the 986 forum recommend you disconnect the battery before doing this but I'm not sure why. Perhaps if it prevents the airbag from going off in your face, or if it prevents the car from throwing an airbag code, or… Anyone?
@@HelpMeDIY I htink I did it twice wihtout getting the code, and then got it the last time I messed with the window. Do I have to go to the dealer to get it reset?

You will defiantly get an airbag code like me.
