Honestly, adopting Horne's kinda half stroke thing he does has helped my consistency a lot with my longer clubs. Maybe I'll add the wrist hinge a little later on when I get the hips and arms down.

Is the handicap system broken in England? How is he on a 19? He shot a 106, 99 and a 93 (assuming par is 72) and gets a 19 handicap?! Absolute madness. Never broken 90 but plays off 19...
We have changed to the World Handicap system in Sweden so currently my handicap is 40 (yes I am very bad but I just play for fun), is that the change in system John is talking about?
Think Alex needs a little bit of work on his putting. Take a bit more time on them, and definitely make Johnny JR take his putt first if he’s out. Gives you more time to analyse the putt and focus!!

Current system requires minimum of 3 rounds (54 holes) and it is the best score that is used to calculate the players handicap. Calculation would be: lowest adjusted gross differential ((21 in this case) + 21*0.13))/1.273 =18.6 Hence rounding up to a playing handicap of 19. So you had three qualifying rounds averaging roughly 26 over and got a 19 handicap ? That’s crazy I’ve been trying hard for three years in loads of comps to come down from 26 to 20 and you have gone straight in at 19 when you can’t play near to it .
Is John being a bit of a poor sport about their handicaps? Obviously its lovely to win, but he has seemingly practiced and played way more than Alex for months, and even after hammering Alex several times recently they're playing off level. In fact, Alex somehow was somehow politely giving him shots until very recently, from of a few rounds where John had a massive blow up/underperformed.
I think in general they are equal skill and the handicap can fluctuate a lot at the 20 level. Trying to give shots all over the place when its more about who is playing well that day made it more complicated then it needed to be.
Free stuff, free golf clubs, joining a club, playing once a week, giving advice…and you still can’t putt. John…look at the ball, not the pin. Alex, stop rushing, or have John stop rushing you.
You should totally do a giveaway where you fly a devoted, equally bad golfer fan out to play a round of golf with you two. And make that person me. Just saying.

From November the handicap will start at 54 and this will put people in the correct brackets.
In the uk a handicap is your best round. Should never get more than 36 pounts
70 par course, I shot 92. 94 and 94 and got 20. Think his handicap secretary needs a new calculator...
