- Hey everyone! I AM BACK! The end of 2023, I dealt with a lot of illnesses but the start of 2024 is going great so far! After a much needed two week vacation with my partner, I am slowly getting back into the groove of making content.
This video is all about the Lamy Dialog cc All Black that I purchased directly from Lamy USA at their Flagship in San Francisco! Though I paid full retail, you can find this pen @Gouletpens for a bit cheaper with all of the same bells and whistles and warranty! Check it out:

Welcome back, mate 😊
Thank you!
This Lamy is seriously cool… and I LOVE matte black. Great demo and video mister Craig!
Good to see you back, Craig!
I have the Lamy Dialog cc in blue. I bought mine from Germany and don't think I paid as much as $350 or equivalent in €, but I'd have to check back.
I like the way it writes but there's something about it that makes me conscious of the pen all the time, rather than concentrating fully on the writing. So it's not a pen I use that often. And I am still in two minds about the usefulness of retractable fountain pens. 🤔
It’s not useful. It’s a gimmick but it’s a great conversation starter. Lamy nibs are some of the best out there though!
@@CraigRoccanova I agree on the quality of the Lamy nibs. Even their lower-priced pens have superb nibs. (I have a Studio and a Safari - both excellent writers).
That is looking sharp in black 😮
I love it!
lamy writes like cutting butter. Thanks craig
It does!
Gee haven’t heard Primus for many years! Glad you had a good time in San Francisco.
Thanks!
Ive got an all black vanishing point that i really enjoy but have been wanting to try a lamy dialogue for a while. The mechanism is really cool
Great video
Looks like a very cool pen to me :)
Such a lovely looking pen and an awesome review o/
How the gold of the nib adds that extra factor when it comes to the elegance of the pen is a detail I personally adore
How does the lamy nibs feels compared to others? ^^
German precision. Smooth as butter and the gold nibs are extra special!
Just bought a blue one, med nib, I just love her.
Thicknes of the pen versus her weight plus balance is a flawless fit for my hand. Like her more than my Lamy2k, beter fit for me.
My new, long awaited favorite pen.
I just got my blue one. Fantastic nib and pen. I'm very tempted to get this or the piano white
I like the ink color there
Peridot was perfect!
Thank you for the review. I have the blue version of this. I love the nib and all, but it has never properly sealed. Even with Private Reserve Infinity ink, it drys out within 10 minutes of use, making it essentially useless to me.
Ah that’s no fun. I haven’t had any issues yet but I’ll report back in a few days of use.
What nib size do you recommend for architure sketch ¿
Probably fine or extra fine
Great review. The design isn't for me, but the lamy gold nibs are so good!
Buttery smooth nibs!
I still think the Dialog 3 is superior. There are no changes in the mechanism between the two, and the monolith look of the Dialog 3 is iconic.
Hello Craig, just wondering how you have found the pen to be in your few months owning/using? I've recently sent back a PC 823 because its threads were poor, so looking for something made really well. Cheers, Nick
캡리스 중에서는 완성도가 가장 높은 것 같긴 합니다.
라미는 정말 고품질의 필기구를 만듭니다. 나는 그들을 충분히 추천할 수 없습니다!
Every time i saw "Lamy Dialog" i just ignored it because i thought it was too big. Now i'm going to take them into consideration ;-)
(Have you tried Lamy Azurite ink?)
I haven’t tried it yet! But this pen is the perfect size now!
the grip section looks a bit wide but all in all it is a great pen
It is a bit wide. I wrote with it a lot tonight and I found it plenty comfy though
My dialogue 3 mechanism broke down after 1 year of use.. would not bother with LAMY again in general.
Congrats on your new pen. It’s very beautiful. However, the price is not justified at all, especially that we have the Pilot Capless for less than third the price, 18k nib vs 14k, and superior Japanese engineering.
I had a capless, I just wasn’t in love with it and its tiny nib. Yes this is a bit more of a gimmick but it feels more solid.
This is MUCH better than the Pilot Capless. 18k and 14k doesn't matter because this nib is superior.
@@belphegor_dev Japanese outperforms German in every possible way
@@KobieKObjectively wrong, weeb.
And your simping for Japan is very sad.
@@CraigRoccanovaI agree. It's not a very well designed pen. The nib is a nail too.
I'm not youtube
You know what? You’re right Stephen. I’ve been saying that for a few years now and I need to stop. Thanks for bringing that to my attention! 😃
Your explanation of the pen is excellent but your handwriting sample is awful try improving it thanks God bless you
