I love you for the fix. When EA made the origin app obsolete and forced me to download the EA app all of my CnC games stopped working. Spent hours trying to figure out how to fix it over the course of almost a year
USA Airforce General for me every time! I used to load up a combat chinook with 2 humvees (each with with 5 x rocket soldiers inside) plus 2 x snipers in the spare seats. This made an incredibly fast moving and heavy-hitting airborne platform. Perfect for hit and run tactics or sneaking into an enemy base to cause some carnage.
yea i eventually will.. first i wanna make sure i got all the bugs ironed out.. also, there might be another Steam update coming. so i might wanna wait for that first in case it changes things again :)

@@LegionnaireGenerals HEY! I realised that after playing a 4 v 4 map i do constantly run into the "technical difficulties" crash once there are alot of units on the map, is there any fix to this - otherwise I'll just play maps with lesser players. 😀
I used to play this game way way back with my friends and it's so much fun i hope i could play this game again❤️ Sad to say i dont have a laptop or pc Ion Cannon is the most destructive superweapon anyway wiping out any units or buildings on it's AOE arghhh fun memories❤️

Unable to install the game with EA on windows 11, keep having installation error, any idea what to do please? I see in your video that that installation worked right away...that's weird.
It’s a bug with the ea app. The only way to play the game is with on an administrator side with full permissions. It’s kinda a security hazard for your computer but if there isn’t anything important on it then have fun!

One other issue I had that couldn't be fixed using GenPatcher & GenTool: Whenever I play large games (1 vs 7) with many units (like missile defenders), some of these units get stuck and won't move or attack anymore. It seems like they have trouble making their way through my patriot defense lines. After a while the game then crashes ("serious error"). The only solution I found was to not build any infantry units but only helicopters and aircraft, but this makes the game less fun. Do you have any other tips on how to prevent this bug...?

I myself have access to the crack version in my country (of course, it is illegal in the West), but I was looking for the free and official version for fear that the crack version of the game might not be compatible with new mods. But as you mentioned, it was nothing more than a rumor. (Believe me, in the first line of Google search, it tells you that it is free!). Anyway, I was able to find some Command & Conquer: Generals fix software for Windows 10 and 11. I hope it works. Thanks for the attention.

Hey! First of all, thank you very much, what you're doing for this game and its community is incredible. Just one question/issue I've had: I can't move the camera by moving the cursor to the edges on the screen when executing the game in Windowed mode. - I tried enabling/disabling borderless mode via GenPatcher but the problem persists. - This doesn't happen when launching from the 'normal' full-screen shortcut, but then the game tends to crash when Alt + Tabbing, so I'd rather fix the Windowed issue. Any ideas as to what could be happening there? Thank you very much!

I download the game through steam but when I run run Gen patcher it says I have an invalid install. I skip through the warning and run the program. But I still get the direct x 8.1 error. I can't figure it out. I've tried looking for help but can't find any in the forums. I turned off anti virus and have reinstalled everything a couple times. Any idea?
The real question is, what if you already have C&C: G (and zero hour) in CD format and rather not repurchase it? I'd personally like for it to run without the CD being a requirement to play, but can't install it because my computer no longer has the option for CDs.
Slight qualm: I installed it from GenPatcher, and I loved the full 4k setup it had - it worked like a charm a few matches. Then I finished the mod installs from Gen Launcher, and tried them, and then it said "looks like the first time you played, want to set recommended settings", and I should have clicked no. Now, no matter how I set it up, it is not as good looking as before, and I am annoyed. It doesn't even have my resolution in the menu. Yet, running the genpatcher again, I can't run the options.ini patch again.... sigh.

Quick question ; Both menu animation and all cutscene are really laggy. I mean i done everything in this video and top left corner shows the exact same as yours UR 32(300)-mine is 300. but the vids feels like laggy more like very low fps. So i reinstalled zero hour after a long time being forgotten and had a question, im sure i remember that back in the day when i would drag the cursor to the edge of the screen, it would scroll the battlefield, and now it doesnt seem to scroll and i have to use my right mouse button to bring up the scroll function, does anyone know if theres a setting to enable scroll at screen edge? just feels somewhat limiting to not be able to just drag my pointer around to look round the map
On Windows 7 GenPatcher freezes during downloading/installing anything. I keep terminating the task and restarting it and it goes a bit further every time before crashing again. I have PowerShell 7 installed. Is there any way for me to expose the PowerShell task running in the background?
@@LegionnaireGenerals I don't use antiviruses or anything that might interfere with it, my installation is very lean. What I suspect is happening is that GenPatcher itself is freezing and not updating with what's happening in the background, as every time I force close it and restart it, the status on whatever I tried downloading or installing changes.
Thanks alot for the Help! Just one question: I have installed GenPatcher and applied it already to fix all bugs. After re-starting the game, the window is not on full-screen mode and I can still see the windows taskbar and the upper frame of the window. Any idea how to fix that? :)
Windows 10 + generals 1920 x 1080 getting error when trying alt+tab . In window mode works but in window mode cant move camera in game without right mouse button :x

@@LegionnaireGenerals same problem... it works when I play with the launcher provided by the game itself, but when I launch the ones given by the patcher the mouse no longer works doesn't matter if it's windowed or normal I tried each.
still got the disk, i dont wanna use Orgin for this, same for sims1 which isnt needed to have orgin either. i thought this was an installation from the disk, not downloading from a page...

Origin is not working on my windows 10, is giving the error code 20:403, and when I searched then it appeared that now it's only available for pc users the EA app but idk if we NEED the Origin app or if the EA app is ok, I just wanna know just in case if we need the Origin app

So i reinstalled zero hour after a long time being forgotten and had a question, im sure i remember that back in the day when i would drag the cursor to the edge of the screen, it would scroll the battlefield, and now it doesnt seem to scroll and i have to use my right mouse button to bring up the scroll function, does anyone know if theres a setting to enable scroll at screen edge? just feels somewhat limiting to not be able to just drag my pointer around to look round the map
On Windows 7 GenPatcher freezes during downloading/installing anything. I keep terminating the task and restarting it and it goes a bit further every time before crashing again. I have PowerShell 7 installed. Is there any way for me to expose the PowerShell task running in the background?
@@LegionnaireGenerals I don't use antiviruses or anything that might interfere with it, my installation is very lean. What I suspect is happening is that GenPatcher itself is freezing and not updating with what's happening in the background, as every time I force close it and restart it, the status on whatever I tried downloading or installing changes.
Thanks alot for the Help! Just one question: I have installed GenPatcher and applied it already to fix all bugs. After re-starting the game, the window is not on full-screen mode and I can still see the windows taskbar and the upper frame of the window. Any idea how to fix that? :)

Windows 10 + generals 1920 x 1080 getting error when trying alt+tab . In window mode works but in window mode cant move camera in game without right mouse button :x
@@LegionnaireGenerals actually i was playing generals c&c on windows 10 and was able to move camera even without right mouse button and with res 1920 x 1080 . Wanted to make better reinstalled game and cant make same again . And everyone in discord say this is impossible so i got bug when i made it works :x
hey looking for some help im trying to to get the game to work only laptop and after all the fixes i try to run the game and it only displays on the right side and only shows like 2/3 the screen is there a fix
got everything downloaded but I cant get the full screen to work! Tried using the Gen tool and that wont do it, and when i try opening the (non windowed) version it wont run
@@LegionnaireGenerals I did that, and its full screen kinda but i have to right click to move on map... kinda annoying. is there a setting for that?
zero hour, moving the cursor on the map does not work, only when you press the right mouse button, but it moves very quickly
@@LegionnaireGenerals same problem... it works when I play with the launcher provided by the game itself, but when I launch the ones given by the patcher the mouse no longer works doesn't matter if it's windowed or normal I tried each.
i have the collection on steam but can i use the same files to open the ORIGIN/EA app games?
When I launch a game the suppose to be transparent hud is just replaced with a pink rectangle, does anyone know how to fix this?
still got the disk, i dont wanna use Orgin for this, same for sims1 which isnt needed to have orgin either.
