It is a contest between known professionals. They didn't allow but only Chinese participants...but he had a worthy reputation from all the competitions in Russia and Kazakhstan. They had an opening and so invited him. Figuring he would not last long. He subsequently blew people's minds. It changed his life. He took Second only because of the rules of the show...and probably so the pros could save face. This was in 2017. Do check out his performances on that show. Greetings from Ecuador, South America, Thank you for reacting to this incredible singer and human being, Dimash has many songs, all incredible and that will leave you amazed, by listening to Dimash again you will not only enter a world where vocal perfection is possible, with You will find music in almost all genres and languages (he has sung in 17 languages) but always of quality, his Dears (Dimash fandom) is made up of thousands of people who consider ourselves a family, even though we are from different countries, cultures, religions and languages we are united around this young man who with his humility, talent and creativity has been able to give us life lessons and instill in us that we are all children of God and that we live under the same sky and that day by day we must fight to be better. It is beautiful to see how children, young people, and the elderly go to his concerts (almost four hours long) who do not mind crossing continents to hear him sing live. As one Vietnam Era vet to another, this is the best singer ever! I first heard him on a TV show 5 years ago singing this song. Ever since, I have hoped to see first reactions to SOS to vicariously feel the thrill I had hearing it that first time. He goes from C2 to D8 (a note higher than the highest key on a piano). He can do any style from Opera to pop. and every note is right on.Reactions to him are "he's an alien" :he's an angel." He sings in 13 languages, plays many instruments, produces and directs original videos. And he's only 30 years old now! Whether you do reactions or not, try to listen to all his songs as each one has something in it that's not in the others.

This song is from 1970. It is about a human in distress, I heard him sing this on a Chinese reality show in 2017 and I was captivated. I’ve watched Dimash every day since then, travelled overseas from U.K. to three of his overseas concerts and am going to both his concerts in may in Budapest and Istanbul and I am 79. Thank you for showing more people Dimash, the most unshowbusinessy person you can imagine. No ego. Just a wonderful young man from a wonderful musical family. They are all about humanitarianism and charity,

Greetings from Ecuador, South America, Thank you for reacting to this incredible singer and human being, Dimash has many songs, all incredible and that will leave you amazed, by listening to Dimash again you will not only enter a world where vocal perfection is possible, with You will find music in almost all genres and languages (he has sung in 17 languages) but always of quality, his Dears (Dimash fandom) is made up of thousands of people who consider ourselves a family, even though we are from different countries, cultures, religions and languages we are united around this young man who with his humility, talent and creativity has been able to give us life lessons and instill in us that we are all children of God and that we live under the same sky and that day by day we must fight to be better. It is beautiful to see how children, young people, and the elderly go to his concerts (almost four hours long) who do not mind crossing continents to hear him sing live. Many comment that it is an incredible and renewing experience.

Dimash is a 29-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and I was informed that he is completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He was in Los Angeles, USA, working on new material of his that his fans (he affectionately calls us "dears") are eagerly awaiting. As one Vietnam Era vet to another, this is the best singer ever! I first heard him on a TV show 5 years ago singing this song. Ever since, I have hoped to see first reactions to SOS to vicariously feel the thrill I had hearing it that first time. He goes from C2 to D8 (a note higher than the highest key on a piano). He can do any style from Opera to pop. and every note is right on.Reactions to him are "he's an alien" :he's an angel." He sings in 13 languages, plays many instruments, produces and directs original videos. And he's only 30 years old now! Whether you do reactions or not, try to listen to all his songs as each one has something in it that's not in the others.

I have been continually speechless, even after seven years of listening to his music. He can touch your soul if you’re open to his repertoire. Since the age of five, he attended a music school, is classically trained, sings in multiple languages, plays at least seven instruments, has a masters and is working towards a doctorate. While I have my favorites, I enjoy all of his repertoire. I’m not sure what type of music you prefer; however, I think you might enjoy (in no particular order):
1) Ave Maria (no lyrics but a vocalize) from New Wave 2021
2) Autumn Strong (Mandarin Chinese) from Kiev/Kyiv, Ukraine 2020
3) Omir (Qazaq/Khazakh) from 2024 acoustic version which features his brother on guitar & Dimash on piano & voice. Dimash composed music & lyrics.
4) The Story of One Sky (English), 2022. A masterpiece, composed by him, calling for peace in our war-torn world. The MV is stunning & overwhelming. The live version (I think it’s about 20 mins into Part 3 of Almaty concert, Sept 2022) equally is emotional & captivating.

This song is from a French/Canadian rock opera named Starmania from the mid 70's Originally sung by a singer named Daniel Balavoine. Dimash is a fully trained opera singer and if you want to hear him sing opera I recommend a performance together with Placido Domingo. Pearl fishers duet. It will blow your mind.
