I love how MC has always referred to Mitsuru by her first name from the very start
In all honesty tho, I’m so satisfied with the way they’ve improved Mitsuru’s romance arc. From the fact that you don’t have to beg her to buy you tokoyaki, to the fact that she actually professes her love. It really finally feels like she’s a main romance option.
Red and blue, fire and ice. Sometimes I look at her and feel like Mitsuru should’ve been the lovers arcana.
She is the hardest to get and also the most satisfying to romance. Surely the best girl.

It honestly hurts to even romance anyone within the game given your gonna end up being a holy door at the end of the game which makes me say “wtf’s the point if I’m gonna end up being a door” honestly wished they added a Valentine’s Day or white day like the other games.

Allege Clark never fails to amaze me. I remember hearing her voice as Captain Beidou in Genshin,and her Voice roles really gave a vibe of tomboy older sister. When i first heard that she as Mitsuru i was hooked and interesting to hear her role as a discipline and mature character in SEES member since her vocal perfom as Beidou already promising. And here i am playing the game,and she really nails as Tara Replacement for Mitsuru.

Hey Dism, thanks for getting this out so quickly. :) I appreciate that we finally get a platonic option in this game, though I would question the wisdom of putting it after Mitsuru's confession. You kinda feel pressured into saying yes - which isn't a problem for me, but I can see how it would be for some people.
Also WHERE THE FUCK IS "CALAMITY" in Rank 8? That scene doesn't hit nearly as hard without the drop or the tense music. :/
And more to Rank 8 ~
1) I miss the wide angle. It conveyed visually how Mitsuru was being torn between her fiancé and the protagonist, or rather the two states of mind they represented.
2) "Philistine"? Really? Y'know, "snob" could be interpreted as Mitsuru reappropriating an insult that's been thrown at her in the past, which would be symbolic of how she's broadened her perspective. "Philistine" just sounds like she's being a snob.
Do you know of the route plays out differently if you don’t flirt. I keep seeing that people saying you have romance flag options at rank 6 but I don’t get it.
@@maku3857 Apparently there are romance flags in Ranks 6 and 8. The responses it wants are "I'll do something about it" and "That's up to you". I'm not sure if it requires both or just one.

In FES/Portable, she says Makoto’s name and then it fades to black.
Are you using the word "ambiguous" right? Because Mitsuru saying "I want to be with you tonight" seems a lot LESS ambiguous to me than what she says in the original.

Thank god! They finally stopped that forced romace stuff in the original persona 3. That was such a pain in the original because unless you finish the link any interactions with another girl instantly reverses their social link.

@@javierf6162 the original didn't allow for platonic options. It only started in Persona 4 (and then continued in P5) where you can friendzone the girls and avoid potential repercussions
This was a problem in the original Persona 3 (including FES and Portable), as cheating can happen at any time which leads to unexpected reversed social links which affect XP gains for the reversed arcana in the Velvet Room, and you don't want that to happen, trust me. Also it gets even worse if the reversed links don't get fixed, which can be broken, and is hard to revert (takes days). It's really game breaking

Aigis can be friendzoned just fine, lore wise she isn't above any other girl. Even if she canonically always loves the protagonist and has the "strongest bond" doesn't mean the protagonist must love her back. It can be one sided.

I decided to look into one of the Social Links for this game to see if Atlus would at least give us full freedom to choose who we want to start a relationship with. Glad that they made it an option, over being forced to date close to every female in the game.
Yeah, me too. Especially since my policy is always be loyal to one girl. If I wanna experience another romance option, I'll just make another save file, but there's also the rewind feature, so you can see another route without looking like a scumbag.

The romances all have checks that can lock you out of romances, basically when comes a moment where you have the option to open up the possibility of a relationship, like when yukari asks if it would bother you to be seen as her boyfriend, you need to confirm you're open to the possibility, there's no indication for them but they're not really subtle, if you don't pass these checks you're locked in their friendship routes

What about people with incurable diseases that have a set date on when they're going to die, should they not allow themselves to find love as well?
The entire point of P3 is that your time is finite but because nothing lasts forever, the things you cherish becomes more precious.
So if anything, P3MC should live his life to the fullest, fill his life with romance and friendship because he won't have another chance to do it again.
And just because you die, doesn't mean you didn't impact the lives of others. Your influence will carry on within them even after your death so grant them the opportunity to be there for you.
