Just found your Minic refurbishment videos, many thanks they are invaluable. I'm just in the process of putting a layout together and have a load of track to refur - I wish I had still had my Fronier post set that my parents bought me in the 60's, the clockwork barrier would be great! thanks once again
Hi Colin, these are brilliant videos, thank you. I have learnt so much, I hadn't considered cleaning my cars and track but with your helpful videos I'm going to give it a try. It would be great if you could post a video of your layout in action. I hope you realise that you are creating an historical document doing this, it will last a long time and give a lot of pleasure and information to help people in the future. Very much look forward to any future posts you might make.
What actual scale is a Minic vehicle? It was marketed as being compatible with Triang Hornby 00 gauge but this appears to be bigger than 1:76 scale. I know it was easier to make buses to 1:76 because there was more room to put the motor.
I think your right, they were marketed as being compatible with oo scale but were slightly different scale. I'm not sure of exact scale but of course they are the closest match to oo scale

Thanks Warren, I'll get around to a video soon. Today a new little motor arrived from China to revamp an old car, lets see how that goes.
How did the replacement go Warren , Was it a success ?
