i live and breath videogames for 35 years, but i have never seen anything better animation-wise than this. i mean it looks phenomenal on ALL levels. i'm blown away right now.
The synergy and automation stuff is so sick. I'm a huge Grim Dawn fan and the way the devotion skills socket onto your main skill tree abilities has quickly become my favorite feature and this game looks like it takes that skills on skills synergy and goes absolutely nuts with it. So hyped to play this next year.

Druid in Path of Exile 2 looks amazing! The versatility and unique mechanics showcased in this walkthrough have me even more excited to dive into the game.
The animations are so crisp and clean i feel like diablo always had that over path of exile , now you get all the depth of path of exile with beautifully looking world
I'm actually blown away by the bear and the animation is just so fluid, it looks like you actually mocapd a bear. 😂 There is just so much passion in Poe, and now Poe 2 just looks fantastic. 😍
this slow pace combat is more deliberate compared to poe 1 combat. animation is pretty good and gives every movement a meaningful weight behind it. boss fights are gonna be amazing.
Looks absolutely incredible! I see a lot of inspiration taken from Dota here... Lone Druid with his bear.... Ursa, a bear who builds fury stacks when attacking... Primal Beast, with almost identical skill as rampage... Lycan, with summoned wolves & a howl ability that debuffs enemies... of course a lot of skills and ideas crossover many games, so I'm sure they're not unique to Dota either. Overall PoE2 looks incredible and the syngergy and mechanics in the skills looks amazing, a lot of attention to detail and huge depth, really excited for this.

Be careful, Diablo 4 devs will take to social media to say this game is “too feature-rich” and “too high of a standard, which people aren’t allowed to grow accustomed to”. This looks insane. The amount of detail in literally everything is staggering 😮
I'm definitely going to try it out, but I can't imagine myself getting that much into it. I managed to play PoE for about 60 hours before I completely lost interest in it.
I do find it interesting that PoE went with more of a shapeshift into animal form and Diablo went the were-form route (it makes sense for Diablo considering the Druid class history). Still a bit sad no one thought to go more plant based though. Give me nature magic that scales off thorns and uses walls of briars and stuff! Also the PoE vs Diablo thing is just tiring, lol. They're both ARPGs, they're both different, play which one you like, or play both. They aren't exclusive. I like both, lol.
Watching this is making me realise how far Blizzard have fallen as developers. The druid archetype here looks way more interesting and overall more fun to play than the druid in D4.
Personnally I prefer the slow pace combat like this, but I know that most PoE1 enjoyer prefer fast paced combat which is ultimately better in the long run. I think the more close you are to end game the more fast paced the combat become. The showcase is very slow paced because it's very early game.
The level of refinement that PoE2 is currently showcasing easily surpasses Diablo 4's ENTIRE game-play design, and PoE2 isn't even done showcasing it's full game-play yet~
i like they "borrowed" the "this skill does an attack and also turns you into X form" from d4 instead of "this button turns you to X form for a duration" from d2 or the incredibly weird "turn to X form for a duration which is dictated by rage which also ticks down on it's own" from LE. superb fluidity of combat is like the only plus point d4 has and swapping forms through skills that also do other things really nailed the master shapeshifter feel. forms also being considered their own weapon set regarding skill tree is just cherry on top. looks too awesome to not be hyped about.
looks cool but the skill automation makes me worry the game will devolve into a 1 button masher again rather than the vision of actually using multiple skills that they voiced during exile con.
PoE2 will be more Diablo than Diablo.. GJ mopping the floor with the amateurs over at ActiBlizz, not that it's that hard now days tbh, looking forward to play this.

POE has always unabashedly copied the best parts of other ARPGs, and they aren't slowing down in the slightest.

All 12 classes have 3 accendancies as well. (Sub classes.) So it's actually 36. The accendancies drastically change your class.
Im looking forward of trying this game. The Mercenary seems fun to play as.
