- Oxford student activists have called for feminist academic Kathleen Stock to be ‘no-platformed’ at the union after she was accused of transphobia.
The former philosophy lecturer was hounded out of the University of Sussex in October 2021 after being targeted by activists who disagreed with her views on gender identity.
Oxford LGBTQ+ society made the demand after Dr Stock was invited to speak at their union next month. She hit back at the society calling their statement “utterly ridiculous” and “probably defamatory”.
TalkTV’s Ian Collins is joined by trans woman and host of Gender Nebulous podcast Freda Wallace and founder and director of Transgender Trend Stephanie Davies-Arai to discuss the story.

Despite wanting to be taken seriously as a woman, Freda continues to behave like a man, spread hate towards and about women (as illustrated by the constant interruptions), the attempts to demean both the female panelist and other women who have spoken out against being bullied, and the insults. I don't hate trans people, I've met and known rather a lot over the course of my life, but this latest anti-feminist, anti-women movement is exactly what it felt like to be woman back in the 1970s.
