It Was Smart that Jodie and John talked about this episode after it aired! This shit is still happening and it shouldn't!! I'm Glad that Jodie and John gave out the number to call when a child is getting abused by there Parents or Parent.
I was abused as a child. My parents beat me physically. Mentally and emotionally. It took me going to social service and telling them I was gone run away if they didn't pull me becauae I'd be safer on the streets. Even in group homes and foster homes I still suffered abuse. I eventually found a good home to live in but by that point I was traumatized. Im 49 and I live with constant fear, anxiety, stress. I feel a constant sense of looming doom. I'm depressed all the time. I want nothing more then to die. I would take my own life if I were wired differently. I hae no friends and am completely alone. I get to see what every one else has. I get to see guys with their wife and kids have a loving family and know that will never be me. Even if I could find a women I'm so massively screwed up that I have no right to put any women through my psychological bs. So this only makes me feel more alone and depressed. I cant tell you how often I cry begging God to let me die. I would rather go to hell then live this way. Abuse on a child is like throwing a plate. You might be able to glue it back together again but it will never be the same. There some wounds that never can heal.
Over 14 years ago. There was a someone who couldn't call for help because she was only a year old. Nobody knew. She was killed due by the hands of the of her mother And Step Father what Summers County West Virginia Police Dept. called the worst case of Child Abuse And Neglect they ever seen
I miss one sitcoms used to do these kind of special episodes it’s a shame they don’t put this kind of stuff in sitcoms anymore because it was bringing awareness to parents and children about stranger danger and Child abuse unfortunately Hollywood nowadays seems to be very protective of these predators it’s a shame they don’t put these kind of Messages and shows anymore and I really do miss family friendly entertainment that’s something that’s missing nowadays
They were actually my two favorite characters in the show Stephanie because she was the same exact age as me when the show was airing and Jesse because he was the cool uncle I wished I had. All my uncles were alcoholics 😆
Yup. that PSA aired each time, while this aired once. Speaking of Family Matters, Jaleel and Kellie also did a one time PSA by themselves following the bone marrow episode.
I've never seen this before! That's so awesome that they acknowledged it and let their viewers know that help is available. That was such a good and eye opening episode.
That PSA aired after the original airing of 1993 episode Silence Is Not Golden. GAC airing had the PSA. It never shown on ABC Family (now Freeform), Nick At Nite, Hallmark Channel, TBS, and Norman Lear’s Catchy Comedy.
Which I find very odd that those networks never aired this part in reruns. That's actually still the number it still works and everything so it's not like it's outdated. Maybe they thought it was too depressing to add this part or that it cut into commercial time?
I remember this, and always thought the PSA is a lot more heartfelt when cast members make an on-screen appearance in it, rather than just a voiceover with a bunch of words (which some shows did, and felt kind of empty).
I remember this episode so clearly because I almost called this Number myself. Then someone called then I got put into Akron Children Services. What a Nightmare that was. It’s not all peaches and cream After calling that #.. I know by experience. And it’s definitely not any experience any kid should have.
@@peteryanes3413, No it was a classmate / Her dad working a bank and abused her at home , & Shawn was helping her and then Cory found out that also helped.
@peteryanes3413 no it was a girl that Corey thought shawn was sleeping with but shawn was really helping her escape her abusive father and then Corey was helping hide her from her father as well.
That episode one of the two Jennifers that are Stephanie’s classmates also was on Boy Meets World and appeared in another Full House episode I’m Not DJ.
I can for sure guess why Jodie an John did this interview. It’s because of the episode with Charles abusive father. I seen that episode many times. It’s one of my favs. I’m very glad Stephanie told Jessie what was going on with Charles even though Charles didn’t want her too. She needed to other wise Charles dad would keep abusing him. Whenever something is not right you have to always put a stop to it. Other wise it will keep happening.
Michelle maybe a brat most of the time and her overaction about the fair punishment Danny gave her may have been unacceptable but ironically it lead to Stephanie confessing and getting Charles help. I wonder if someday when she's older Stephanie had a talk with her about it and explained why she exploded at her for calling Danny names since here Michelle was probably too young to realize a serious situation such as child abuse and probably didn't understand what got into Stephanie that day but if it wasn't for her Stephanie probably would have continued to keep quiet about Charles' father.
I get Stephanie was probably speaking from unbalanced emotions but I think she was out of line to blame uncle jesse and say she never should have told him about Charles abusive father because now he would hate her despite it being clear Charles was better off. It's too bad we never find out what happened to Charles afterwards other than him being sent to foster care I wonder if he was even mad at Stephanie for telling or grateful that she did since it's mentioned he and his father are getting the help they need.
It’s painfully ironically hilarious when you realze one these two preachers made disgusting remarks about a ‚helpless‘ child behind the scenes I’m sorry but I don’t need paid ‚actors‘ to condescend me and talk down on me educating me on serious topics I’m already aware of. I really doubt people after watching this actually engaged in fighting against child abuse cases. But hey, sympathy boosts an actor and their show tremendously.
She was being assaulted, maybe on set. Jaimee Foxworth who played ‘Judy’ on ‘Family Matters’ was being assaulted on their set. Child actor’s go through some messed up things, then people wonder ‘why are they on drugs’.

@AndrewT-hb8we yeah thank God I grew up in the 90s
Reminds me of the shooting episode in family matters with their PSA at the end of the episode.
And Jaleel white spoke in his real voice

It's true, child abuse can never ever be ignored, it's a serious issue and it must be stopped permanently.

this is one of the dark and sad episode of "full house".
I always remembered this episode.

Despite how corny “Full House,” can be this is a very moving episode with a great message at the end.
I love stephanie top and jesse hair ❤😊😊
I wish they did a follow up with what happened to the kid in Fuller House. I wanted Stephanie to see him again
also on boy meets world , they had a abuse episode.

We watched this episode in high school.

Jodie needed help for the same reason John Stamos needed help: addiction.
John himself was molested as a child.
