I'm really glad that for once the emperor isn't a scheming idiot who decides to punich those loyal to him because they're "too powerful". It's such an overdone trope. I love that he's confident and not overly suspiceous.
Sheng Yilun has a perfectly proportioned figure and looked great in any clothing. This outfit made Yujin looked less like a kid, and more mature and confident. However, when he got so excited looking at the priceless painting, he still looked like a kid despite the outfit. Yujin also learned from the encounter with his uncle after the disaster relief. In case the news that reached the emperor might have been distorted by the horrible ministers to make him looked bad just like before, he decided to apologize first. Great tactics!
