So I like the idea of having an easier schedule at the beginning of the year, obviously, with a young O line that could really use some time to gel before facing top competition. However, it makes it imperative that they get off to a good start and have a solid record by the bye week. That makes me nervous because they HAVE to get the victories they should get from the word go. I'd still prefer this schedule to having it flipped the other way around.
    Love the show, fellas!

We are a Super Bowl caliber team. It's just factors of health of our team versus health of other teams, as well as can our offense create a unity and put points on the board

I did feel more optimistic last year when the schedule came out especially since Kenny looked like he was the guy towards the end of his rookie year. My big concern then was Matt Canada. This year after the schedule release it put my greatest concern in perspective. That is the question at QB. If Joe Burrow was healthy last year there was a good chance we wouldn’t have made the playoffs. I’m cautiously optimistic again

Yeah, it's hard to know where the blame lies... did Kenny do horrible because of Canada, or were they both trash... for Kenny to break Marino record, jts hard to think he would be a bad QB, but he really didn't look great. 1 good drive a game that's all he gave. 3 and out was his consistency. Was it Canada's fault? Probably.

Two points I've not heard since the schedule release. First , playing the tougher games late in the season should be what we want with a new Oline. How many times do we hear how the line has to jell and become cohesive . My second point is the Eagles, they totally imploded late season last year so why NOT play them late . Honorable mention goes to KC who tanked on Xmas last year hmmmm. The overreaction is just that .

Question for today's afternoon drive. Should we be optimistic about the players being "ecstatic" about arthur Smith offense or are they just saying that because he's new and more than likely better playbook than canada?

With the way the schedule is setup we could get a fast start and be in a great position record wise. Also with the way things have gone Burrow may be hurt by the time we play the Bengals.

I feel like this year's Steelers are going to be like the 2021 Titans. Shock everyone with a top seed and then lose to Mahomes in the playoffs. Arthur Smith calling the plays, Russell Wilson reviving his career like Tannehil did, Najee having the Derrick Henry role, and smashmouth D.

    M. Hardman = Calvin Austin....BS, Hardman played in a good offense and made a TD in the Superbowl. Hardman has good experience.

QBs can't be successful in the wrong environment. Mahomes needs Andy Reed to make the smart decisions. 49ers would have won the SB if they had Reed instead of the moron, who has chosen to receive the ball first with new overtime ruling and got duped at the end. BTW the same dude who screwed up the 28:9 lead over the Pats in the last quarter SB2016 by managing to have 3 possessions for COMBINED 4'40 minutes allowing Brady to put 17Points on the board. Thats the reason I'm so happy for Russ now, cause I believe Tomlin gives him at least a proper chance.

If our rookie class hits again and we feel like we are a qb away from contending next season, I say we sign a FA qb that's a proven commodity to open the superbowl window for a couple years. Otherwise our defense might age out before a rookie qb develops. Dak and Goff are FAs next year. I wouldn't mind that

Im sorry. Omar had every single chance on Earth to get a WR much MUCH better than Michael Thomas, Russell Gage, Sterling Shepard, Mecole Hardman etc and he sat on his hands. He would be derelict of his duty to now go trade future draft capital for a guy of the same caliber as someone he could have gotten on the open market like Michael Gallop or DJ Chalk or Josh Reynolds. This was a direct CHOICE to trade Diontae like he was AB or some shit. Smh.

Tomlin does good in the division because of qbs like Watson and Lamar. Those two just are not that good. Lamar is not a great passer. Bengals are the team that could throttle them with the passing game. Not much has changed since Brady use to pass at will against Pittsburgh defense.

Bengals took a hit on run defense when they lost DJ Reader. The Steelers should be able to run on them without too much trouble. Also, it appears that the Bengals downgraded at RB. If they can't run on the Steelers defense, then they are toast. TJ and Alex can pin their ears back. This is especially true if Russell Wilson can put points on the board to pressure the Bengals' offense.

Why would you keep talking crap about Russell Wilson . You need to watch some film and check his stats . Russell Wilson is better than any quarterback you've had in years. Get off the delusional Russell Wilson hate train.

Big Al is my guy rather i agreed with him or not... he is a excellent writer and very good football mind. But... did i just hear this man say "if you had Peyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger or Drew Brees you WOULDN'T feel good about it..." 😯 Alan... you gotta get some sleep big dog smh that statement was WILD ASF lmaooo ALL them guys are getting gold jackets they don't have to buy. Regardless of the fact they didn't win everything, I'd feel fucking GREAT with either one of them right now especially Ben 😂😂 that was insane lol
