A Protestant (Lutheran) could tell he is Catholic. It's obvious because he doesn't know much about Lutheranism, its people, beliefs, or organizational structure.

@@flash2tz And also that he represents the church splits as orthodox and protestants breaking away from the continuous line of the catholic church. And that he thinks that their teachings about good works make them build more hospitals. I have no idea if that´s actually the case, especially in proportion, but it was kind of transparent that he wanted to make the RCC seem better.

The author failed to mentioned one of the key issues of the reformation. The pope’s infallibility vs. sola scriptura. Protestants, for the most part, tent to believe in the Bible alone as the only source of divine wisdom. Catholics believe in the infallibility of the pope and the bishops. That is a major irreconcilable difference between the two factions of Christianity.

I have friends both in the Catholic and also in the Protestant church. I am Protestant but very disappointed in their behavior and in claiming to be saved when they do NOT bear the fruits that God wants us to bear. I agree with Dominic who states that faith without works is DEAD. Even those who seem to be so spiritual and loving seem to have no heart for the poor nor for those who need help. Religion is not important but relationship with the Lord is most important, by that I mean knowing His word and doing what His spirit leads us to do. For example in the last judgment in the book of Matthew the people will be divided into two groups, the goats and the sheep. I have found that most Protestants believe they are saved by faith alone and do NOT need to care for the poor and needy. They will be in for a great shock when the Lord comes and tells them to depart and go into hell instead of heaven which they proclaim to go to naturally. I found no one to help me, no one to care when I was in need, actually secular friends showed more compassion than those who call themselves Christians.

I agree with you I am Ex-muslim converted to Christianity baptized in Coptic Orthodox church I shocked with Christians' morals just stole the name of Christ. They hurted, exploited and harmed me like Muslims while I was hiding when I fled my country. Then I found myself in Catholicism after experience. I know that of course Catholics are not perfect 100% but at least they are the best in their ethics, heart, faith and mind. Most of the time, the Orthodox Christians are so fanatical, heartless and narrow minded and Protestants are worse than them😟😦 the fruits of the faith is so important. God is about love not about religion.

@@sawsanelshafey3634 Must remember in the understanding of Protestant Christianity that one must be regenerated or die to their old self, born again by Christ which I feel you most likely were. You had an experience that changed you. I know Islam is not easy to break. The trouble is there are many who CALL themselves Christian because they believe in God and at least in word alone trust Jesus for their redemption in the end. But have never had the EXPERIENCE with Him. The one when He changes your heart. Here's the second problem. The ones who HAVE HAD IT often get lazy in our own little world and stop worrying about our neighbor. Western culture is the personification of this. We went from 50 years ago knowing everyone on the street, maybe even the community and coming together to help one another to a "mind your own business" attitude because our morality has slipped and we don't want to have our sins found out so we isolate ourselves. Thirdly, many probably sadly see you and are struck with fear. Fearing that you are maybe just pretending so that you can gain information to take back to an Imam who is looking to maybe attack. It's sad that folks are like that but Islam has been really, really good at terrorizing and once that hits you you become paralyzed with fear in a lot of ways. I praise Jesus for setting you free and making you a brother/sister (sorry, can't tell from your name. :)). I just ask for patience with us and know that God will provide.

A yeoman’s effort here. One thing . . . Jesus said “By this will all men know you are my disciples. By the love you have for one another.” Just sayin’.
Another thing. Jesus said He was establishing a New Covenant. So where was the Old Covenant and were the people of that covenant perfect? Or did God tell them that even if they strayed from their end of the covenant that He would always remain faithful? So were the people of the New Covenant perfect? Not according to the New Testament. They bickered and couldn’t agree on rules for the fledgling Church. Seems that Jesus never gave them a book of rules. He had told the Jews to do what the Pharisees told them to do but not to do as the Pharisees did because they did evil. When He commissioned the apostles He told them “whoever hears you hears Me” so He gave them His power to teach.
Jesus prayed that His followers would be one. Paul castigates the Corinthians for forming factions. So it seems that Christians are living in disobedience by forming factions. In the book of Acts when the apostles disagreed on some point they met together until they came to an agreement. They didn’t go off and start a different church. They made sure that doctrine was the same for all believers.

One of the things I have a problem with Catholicism is the corruption of the pope and also works are a byproduct of faith, the thief on the cross went to heaven but didn’t hav the works. He did with faith alone and Jesus had told him he will be in heaven with him soon. I might be non denominational but I’m still Protestant and believe the same believe as Catholics, I’ve just seen corruption from the “head” of the church and also I’m not gonna pray to anyone besides the one and only lord, no human or “Saint” can save me or forgive me beside God

Difference between Protestant beliefs and Catholic beliefs are miles apart!
Works have nothing to do with one's Salvation as it is a Free Gift from God. We can do nothing to obtain Salvation. The Works comes in as a result of our Salvations. James is talking about doing works upon one’s Salvation and if there are no works then their Salvation and Faith is dead. If one is saved, the Holy Spirit comes into them and as a result, the Holy Spirit directs our good works of SPREADING the GOSPEL of JESUS CHRIST and praying continuously, helping especially the downhearted and poor with what is at our disposal!
If you have not the Holy Spirit, you will not even think to help spread the wonders of Jesus, much less help anyone!
The Catholic Church encourages the veneration of Mary and all their saints, at least one for each day of the year! They place Statutes and kneelers along the alters to allow the faithful to worship Mary and the Saints. No image shall you bow down to and worship!?
The Only Mediator between man and God, is the Man-God, Jesus Christ!
A lot of difference in the Catholic & Protestant’s beliefs. That belief comes from God’s Holy Word, written down in the Bible!

  • @Ben-br1bu
    @Ben-br1bu 5 лет назад +26

    Great video. Thank you.
I would like to add that there are a lot of Protestants who also believe that faith without works is dead. The difference is however that we say that it's not faith plus works but this actually means that you are still saved solely based on faith alone. Real faith, however, will produce works automatically because your heart will be transformed by the Holy Spirit and His fruits will show themselves in a change of your attitudes because of your faith. In the sense of "I can love because He first love me and I can forgive because He forgave me first". It might seem like a minor detail but for me it's makes a big difference because the works do not come from me in order to be saved, but they come from God through me because I am already saved.

It's impossible to talk about religion - about most things, actually - without bias. The fact tha you and I agree with his bias does not make him unbiaseed. The danger o considering religious opinions unbiased is it creates "the true opinion". Even a benign opinion, if considered to be the true one, can clash with other opinions. Muslims, for instance, consider Christians and Jews as sharing the same background and call for a special respect towards them (us) - and that can clash with the idea that Christians share the same backtround. The only truth us Christians should hold is "love your neighbor as you love thyself". (remember that neighbor is not your actual neighbor but all those next to you and in the 21st century that means around 8 billion people)

I think that Slim Hriat was getting at what you all were somewhat saying about needing faith and works combined, because if you try to "have" one but not the other you won't have either, I know I can have a stronger faith at times and have good works and glorify God with my All and All as He Makes possible through His Life and Sacrifice and as He is good. But it's somewhat like what 1st Corinthians 13 talks about with love and how true love is God's love as He is love as it/He says in the good Ole Word that's Living and Nourishment for our souls as He Intended and Intends good with and for and in us as we Need to be in Him our Father in Heaven together United the Church through His Precious and Almighty Son Jesus Christ, not waver or forfeit, I'm tired of wavering and just settling and "living" with the lies and bad silence and not being open as I should but instead settling for the bad and lies of the past mistakes and Satan whispering that we'll never be good enough as he always tries to until God will Destroy his tongue and silences him, as God Wants and does good as He is good and Loves us Unconditionally and Gave us the Gift of Life and Free Will so we wouldn't be robots and the Walk would be more and actually fully personal and worth it and possible as He Makes possible and through and with Him, we're "fearfully and wonderfully made" part of Psalms 139:11-16, He's Wanting and Making the Best, to have more faith and Stand Strong to and with Him in True and His Truth and Love and Life and Light, He is the Only Way Almighty and Everlasting, and I know that there is alot of differences out there, but I believe we can do Abounding things with God as He Intended Plans and Wants it and to and as He is Abounding and Wants the truth and good to be done, to not waver but Stand Firm to and with Him our Firm Foundation and Truth in Love, not an act or game we play or be lukewarm since that is a dishonor to God as we are Intended be His Children and Created in His Image for a good Purpose to Overcome through Him this corrupted world that He so Graciously is still somehow Making Beautiful and Wonderful, But this is Not Home truely, oh I can only Imagine what a Day that will be! I Hope to see you all and everyone in this group chatting thingy mabob Up There Rejoicing and at the Great Feast, to not fear but be Ready in His good Way, keep doing good and join me as God is Helping us all along together and Wanting the Best, I love you all, as God so Graciously has Given me and Calls for True Love, True Faith. Some other Scriptures that i was reading recently and also stuck out in my Bible as Words to Treasure were James 1:22 talking about having real faith and Living for God our All and All as He is our Example Truely, and then also 2nd Corinthians 7:1. Take care and prayers and love and action all around, Abounding good that is and to be done with and to and by and through Him. But I feel he was getting at if we have a real faith as he said then good works for and with and by and in God will follow and happen aswell and it will be true, i think the key word is "real", but also about that scripture i talked about earlier but never listed before i got on that long process and train of thought of mine that i often do, but to be United in love and truth and even the good differences and to bear with eachother as i read also in the Bible somewhere in the New Testament either Jesus or one of His followers/ the Disciples or Apostles said it through and by God, as He is with and For us Never against us; but also to have Compassion and act upon what God Wants. But that scripture about how God is love, it was in 1st John 4:7-12. There's so much as He is good, Living, Loving and Abounding, He is bringing us Home and making us Complete All in His Time and Way that's Best, just to be open and willing and make truely meaningful. With Love

The passage being referred to says… Faith without works is dead. It doesn’t say… Salvation without works is dead‼️ The works being referred to are works of the spirit, as in love your fellow man. They are not referring to Works of man-made rituals. If you truly have faith, the works will show, automatically, you won’t even be able to help it. If there are no works, and I mean works of the spirit, then there was no faith in the first place. So it all goes back to the truth... Faith alone in Jesus Christ is what saves you, and there are a multitude of passages to confirm that. It is not possible to truly believe in Jesus Christ, and the amazing gift he gave to us, and not want to please him. Most Catholics believe that the works are the most important thing, and that what the works don’t complete, purgatory will finish off. Very bad doctrine

Kc.114:14 There is baptism when there is a prophet messenger on earth, and the prophet messengers are the manifestation of God, that is why their books are the Word of God. The prophet messenger is God manifested on earth. Amen! There is the Father, Who is, God manifested above us, the son, who is, God manifested in the person of the prophet messenger among us and the Holy Spirit, God as a Spirit in us.[Ed: The congregation says, Amen]. Bear in mind that the Son of God and the son of man, it is like the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heavens. They are two faces of the same thing. For the elect, John 3:16 will always be alive from generation unto generation till He comes. In every generation, God has always sent on earth, a saviour by whom we are to be saved. When Noah was sent on earth, it was as the only son of God! When Moses, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Amos… were sent on earth, each of them came in his time as the only-begotten son of God so that whoever believes in them has eternal Life. This is the exact truth!

The biggest difference is the Catholic Church persecuted, tortured and killed christians that disagreed on matters of transubstantiation, praying to Mary, Purgatory etc... I mean they excommunicated Columbus for saying the world was round ... Though, they did by papal degree, reinstated him in 1992... very nice of them some 500 years later Though they did not apologize for their error... And this is the problem, no so much the doctrine, but how they behave about their doctrine... You know torturing, killing, burning at the stake people that did not adhere do their doctrine, is where I have a huge problem with the history of the Catholic Church... for protestants Bible is the word of God. We read and study the word of God regularly and believe in Jesus as our lord and saviour. He alone is our mediator between man and God. We focus on our relationship with God. And btw we don't believe everything thing blindly what people say, including the priests and bishops - We refer to the Bible. Jesus is the head of the Church. We are taught to imitate Jesus. And be like Him in thoughts words and action. So we don't believe in praying to saints because we r all saints in the eyes of God as we r saved by grace through faith which is a gift from God the father.

He has produced atomic power which he cannot control .The Japanese disaster is constantly pumping out radio active water which is killing the life of the Pacific. With dead fish being washed up on the American coast. There is no sign of anything positive in the future. .I think you are the one behaving like a child ,not facing the reality of man's destruction of the planet .
The Bible warns of those who will destroy the earth .God spoke through PROPHETS AND OUTLINED THE FUTURE OF MANKIND. If you bothered to study it you would find the Empires predicted and several like Babylon , Persia ,and Greece named. Then there are numerous prophecies about Israel and the Middle East. Then of course the ones about Jesus birth ,life and death and how he will come back when the Jews are back in their land after being scattered all over the world .That was said hundreds of years before His birth.

Hmm... At 0:55 in the video is where you've got your church history wrong. The Orthodox (Eastern) Christian Church was the original Christian Church from the time of Christ. *The Catholics split from the Orthodox Church* ; not the other way around. The Catholic religion is just more prevalent in the Western world, so to think they were first is is a common mistake and misunderstanding.
The Catholics decided to create and hold fast to certain rules/traditions that the original Christian Church didn't agree with. For instance, the Catholics decided to make it mandatory (instead of optional) that priests not marry a wife.
All Orthodox priests are allowed and encouraged to marry, as this is/was seen as pleasing and holy to do. They did *not* agree to this new, made-up tradition to force priests into celebacy, as they believed it would give sin a foothold.. (And they we're right!! ... The Catholic sex scandals were - and still are - rampant in the Catholic Church. In medieval times, it was Popes with mistresses. In current times, heartbreakingly, it's with Priests and children. Ugh.)
There were several other things that had to do with the Catholic Church deciding their own traditions, (especially concerning finances and leadership practices...) that were not in line with the original Christian faith, as passed down from the original disciples.
(For reference, study more about the Saint Barnabas and Saint Paul disagreement and agreeable split - Paul went West, Barnabas went East. Both were good, Christians and decipels of Christ).
In the eyes of the original, Orthodox Church, the Catholics seemed to be doing away with what was originally passed down from the earliest Christians - which is why the *very first* Christian church and their traditions, is called "Orthodox".
I encourage you and all who are interested, to do more research on the history of Christianity. The Western world isn't where Christianity originated, but where it evolved into a Church with the same principals of faith, but with different traditions.

The early Christian Church had a pope, Pope Peter. The Eastern Orthodox rejected the pope and the papacy in 1054, so it is the Eastern Orthodox, not the Catholics, who are in schism. Unrepentant schismatics lose their souls.
On the celibacy matter, the pope never interferred with the Eastern practice of married clergy. The Eastern Orthodox did not leave the Church over this, this was not an issue in the events of 1054.

As a Protestant, on #3 you missed the mark on the doctrine of justification. Every protestant confession taught that true faith is followed by works. In fact, John Calvin was the first commentator to begin using 1 John as a series of tests of faith, to prove a professing Christians faith as genuine by his works. Otherwise I wholeheartedly agree we have a lot more in common than usually is thought!
The difference of the doctrine of justification really lies in the intermediaries and sacramental merit. We wholeheartedly disagree that there is any saving merit except faith alone, we hold that our merit and righteousness is from our union with Christ alone, of which the Roman tradition is at variance with us on an individuals acquirement of that union in more ways than one. We especially distinctly hold that it is an entirely alien and foreign righteousness that we now possess by faith. Works being the evidence and fruit of faiths reality or existence. Especially of divergence in Roman tradition, is that works gain merit and establish a kind of righteousness on its own. Not enough space to expound on that. Just as a hard and fast example of these distinctions, we hold that 1 Peter 3:21 is symbolic and at the very least speaking of the baptism which Christ baptizes with, a baptism in the spirit that brings us into union with Christ. "For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit." 1 Corinthians 12:13 / Matt. 3:11 -- Otherwise, if Peter is speaking about water baptism, we have serious internal contradictions in the New Testament Apostles of which this isn't the space to expand on that either.
Additionally we as protestants never left the Roman Church due to these other doctrines he mentioned, but it was primarily Sola Scriptura which bore the fruit of the doctrine of justification and this was truly the fulcrum of the early reformers issue with the Roman Church. They recognized that the appeal to scripture was not sufficient to establish the doctrine of justification they had discovered there, and these early reformers simply could not with a clear conscience confess and teach differently. Therefore, the eventual excommunication and split. And to meet this fullness of time, the recent advent of the printing press allowed the writings of Luther to spread throughout all of Europe. Thus, an exodus from within the church took place.
Finally, the very name coined "Reformation" proves also that these early men who were split from the Roman church believed they were re-establishing what had been the true church from the days of the Apostles. I understand the disputes and controversies, yet the protestant in me demands that our true doctrinal positions aren't misrepresented. There would have never been a reformation had there not been excommunication of Luther, of whom this "30%-50%" of the Catholic Church found his statements convincing and faithful to the word of God. With his excommunication, followed the excommunication of all who believed his initial statements and explanations. And of those who didn't participate in Luther's excommunication, their were many influenced by Luther's writing to reform the church while remaining within the Roman Church--thus, the counter reformation became a positive turning point for the Roman Catholics.

Rejection passed through the ages... yeah rather then face reality they choose to reject it, many protestants still feel rejected because of the traditions.. I honestly see a middle ground here where the 2 can work together and help each other. I think Christians should be given sanctuary in a catholic church for confession and catholics can share wisdom at protestant churches, faith and works are both necessary but complacency is a human sin not a sin against God. Also many of the old guard reject the church in general because they were unfortunately misjudged and felt rejected. I know their's common ground here but sometimes their are stubbornness and we can't change people.

_You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by works_ (Ja 2:22)
One comes to an initial faith, a faith that says I believe. But to believe is to live a life of love, for God and neighbor. That faith is never, ever separated from our works of love. That's why James says faith is made complete by works. He's not talking about that that initial coming to say I believe, hes talking about that faith we have as we strive to live a life of holiness as Christ calls us to do. Faith is never alone from love.

Catholics are not Christians. They are pope-worshipping Catholics. The use of biblical terms have different definitions. They have deleted one of the commandments because it contradicts their idol worship. The Roman Catholic Church is a cult within a cult. The list of biblical differences could go on. Don’t be fooled by ecumenism.

Being born in 1995 in America, in the US far from the troubles of Ireland, I've only ever seen a friendly competition between Catholics and Protestants. It's always been looked at similar to opposing/rival sports teams, in my lifetime. Because of this, I've always enjoyed the light jabs shared between the two groups. Most Protestants don't believe Catholics are going to hell, and vice versa, so the other differences no longer matter as much.

@@merynco well said. The question then becomes what is baptism? The Greek word baptizo literally means to immerse, bury, plunge, or dip. Every example of baptism performed in the NT is done once one comes to believe that Jesus is the son of God as you have stated. In Romans 6 Paul says it is by being baptized that we participate in Jesus's death, burial, and resurrection. Sprinkling is not a burial, only immersion is and infants are not able to reason and thus believe. So sprinkling water on an infant is not baptism as performed in Scripture. Only the immersion or burial in water of someone who is old enough to believe and confess Jesus to be the son of God is able to be truly baptized and have their sins washed away (Acts 22:16).

    • @normajeanray
      @normajeanray 5 лет назад +1

@Pinus Raisins Oh! I see where your confusions is coming from. Yes Catholics can pray to God for themselves and for others. When we say we're praying for someone, we're not doing their prayers FOR them, we're holding them up in prayer. We're asking God to ie. give then strength, healing,patience...We're not mediating for them. We can't do that. 1 Tim 2:5 says, " There is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus".
We can't ask a dead person to pray for us. They're dead. Deuteronomy18:9-14 tells us not to consult the dead. Jesus loved His mother, but He made it plain she was not to be elevated above any believer. In Luke 11:28 As Jesus was saying these things, (talking about demons) a woman in the crowd called out, "Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you." But Jesus replied, "Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it."
And again in Mark 3:31-35 Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside they sent someone to call him. A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you." " Who are my mother and my brothers?" he asked. Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers! Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother." They seemed to be under the impression that bc they were family that would give them 'an in' to see Jesus, but that didn't happen.
There's no doubt Mary was blessed to be able to birth the only Son of God, but that's as far as her blessings go according to the Son that loved her dearly, she was no better than any believer. If that's Jesus's stance, then I'm in agreement with him. HE is our only focus, not his mother. She can not mediate for anyone. And certainly not while she's dead. The bible said Jesus is in heaven. Mary will rise one day just as the others who are saved according to 1Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command common with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. John 5:28-29 'Do not Marvel at this, for an hour is coming when ALL who are in the tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who have done good to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil to the resurrection of judgment.'
I don't know why Catholics say Mary is in heaven they have no scripture to back that. Jesus was raised from the dead. Nowhere does it says Mary was raised from the dead. She's in the grave as we all are when we die.
Psalm 115:17 says, ' The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down into silence.'
Jesus is coming to get those who have have asleep. ICor.15:23 says, ' But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.'
I Cor.15:51-54 Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised imperishable and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality, Then shall come to pass the saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in victory."

Well if we take salvation seriously this is what we need to know. They are not both Christians. The moment you believe Jesus is really in the " Eucharist" then he is not the same Jesus of the bible, you are not of THE WAY. The moment You believe that Mary "assist" Jesus ( co-mediatrix) for salvation then you have a different Jesus than the bible, The moment you believe that the popes represent Jesus on earth you are crazy (read history). The moment you believe that Mary ascended or was born without sin ( she called Jesus MY SAVIOR) you belong to a cult. The moment yu kneel before images you are idolatrous.

Assuming there are people within the group that recognize that the Holy spirit is being quenched. Sadly, sometimes no one in a church group recognizes this so the group continues for years. Also, people need to understand the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Again, sadly, many do not. As an aside, I got quite the shock when I discovered the ugly carnal behavior of a woman who was a group leader in the "things of the Holy spirit". I had admired her as a spiritual leader, but when she attacked me with a very unkind treatment, that brought her down to size in my eyes. All Christians are capable of behaving in an unchristian way. Hopefully, she came to realize that her behaviour was sinful.

    • @MarilynCrosbie
      @MarilynCrosbie 5 лет назад

@@wakeupcall8188 It depends on how you define split. Sometimes, there is no moving foward in a group of Christians. Some want to keep things the same week after week and allow no room for any changes that would be more helpful for some members. They can be very stubborn and unbending on things that are really not worth resisting, such as if you add new worship songs to the service that the youth enjoy singing. i haecv seen issues like this separate members of a church, yet, they still say hello in the grocery store or the doctor's office when they are about in their community. Simply because a group of Christians choose to meet in another location, such as a community hall, rather than the church building, that is not necessarily an evil thing. It's not ideal, but not something to fret about. it is better than having constant disagreements while attending the same service year in year out. that is why there are various denominations - different groups emphasize different teachings. No human group is infallible and has all the truth. we are on a journey of learning over time, at least we need to be learning every day about God and his teachings and His will.

      Marilyn Crosbie
Dear sister I see genuine and loving spirit in you and that God dwells there and you are capable to realise and see the truth so please, use that gift don’t quench that spirit
      - Bear with me, pray over it and use That Spirit, your faith, logic and reason, and tell me if I’m wrong
-I’ll start from your last statement that no group is infallible and have all truth,
-In short, sister, Apostles did and all those who follow Apostolic Tradition still have
-Sister Jesus is that Truth and He delivered that truth to all of us TO RECEIVE HIM PROPER WAY, HIS WAY COMPLETELY, IN WHOLE, NOT TO PICK AND CHOOSE and started with Apostles
      - Apostles did, because they received Him and delivered that truth to their disciples
and they did because they receive Him and delivered that to next generation of disciples
      All the way till today
      - But not everyone
      - Some didn’t
      - Some did a little bit
      - Some did in twisted way
      - What they all have in common is they have chosen what’s truth they take from Christ and what to believe about Jesus, and they can split or start something new like Arians for example, saying that Jesus is not Devine, not God the Son
They have left sound doctrine, Apostles and Apostolic Tradition
      1 John 2:19 KJV
[19] They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out , that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
For similar reasons, many epistles existed and even Jesus’s letters to seven churches in revelation
Their truth was not Apostolic Tradition was not Jesus’s truth, was not Jesus
      - If your saying is correct sister and they are not infallible then why we follow their doctrine, why we trust bible, how we know truth and what to follow
      - It’s not just for them and that time either because Jesus said Go Baptise All Nations In The Name Of The Father, Son And Holy Spirit
      -All this I’ve explained is
One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, Body of Christ, that Jesus established
      - That same Church put Bible together to separate that truth, that sound doctrine from heresies or that time
      - Church fathers disciples of Apostles continued same way in Baptism, Holy Mass Eucharist, faith, morals and delivering us that same way and all the way till today
SO, FROM ALL THIS, SISTER, WE CAN NOT SEPARATE ourselves and start something new, because we separate ourselves from Christ and starting something of our own
      I hope you see that
      - Neither Jesus nor Holy Spirit would ever say that to someone to split His Church
      - I can go in detail but I’ll wait for your response
      Mine Is already too long
      - Church is pure clean in teachings and faith and morals
      - As I said before, we are not, so were ever we go, we “contaminate” that area with our sins, because we are sinners and if one leave His Church, that Jesus established, as a sinner, didn’t change it’s heart, what makes you think, that one will be better ( I mean fully better , to become Saints) in some groups with less truth, one in theory can, of course, if changes one’s heart, which again go back to us, as problem, ignorance of truth and spiritual sloth of Jesus and everything one had before or to do what’s one wants to do, not what one’s supposed to do
So it’s not Church to blame not Jesus to blame but us
If someone leaves, like in 1500, in reformation, any little tiny things becomes big problem because there is no final Authority and me as pastor, I’m an authority and you as member if you agree or not, or as long as you agree
      - So yesterday we split from pastor John
      - today me and you are together,
      - tomorrow I’m leaving you and starting new church
      - come on sister think about who was led by Holy Spirit in first place here, pastor John, me or you, or none, we all have done splitting and maybe is just our judgment of things,
      - so in this cases what is really true and how we know that what I thinks truth
      - In Catholic Church we know, because Apostles believed same way, worshiped same way and commands us to do same way and they haven’t done any splitting
      - I just wanna point to something
      - I’m not talking about name of denomination here because Catholic Church is not denomination
      - She’s Christ’s Bride, His Body, Devine Marriage, One True Church but even here that name, doesn’t save, so I’m not preaching name here but Faith doctrine worship and only Jesus saves,
      - I know that many Catholics just have that title, nothing more, but majority believe same as Apostles because they gave their hearts to Jesus
      - Jesus is with others as well, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THEY ARE WITH HIM, IN JESUS
      - He went to get that one sheep that left the flock but for the reason, strong enough, that sheep is still outside, with Christ, but not in Christ, He’s watching He loves that sheep, He’s working oh her, so she can come back to His Flock, to His Church to Noah’s ark, because “flood” is coming and ark is created by God, through men He has chosen, inside of Ark is safe, but “stinks” sometimes, because of us, sinners,
Sometimes, some “sinners”want to eats each other, but majority is calm and in Spirit of God in love and God is in control
He promised that, Gates of Hell, “Flood”, won’t prevail and the way to salvation, to safety, to everlasting new life is narrow and rough but, He gave us an Ark, to protect us from that Flood on our way to salvation
Come Home my dear sister and may God bless you on your journey
      Love and peace always

Correction: Protestants believe there is only one intercessor between man and God and this according to scripture is Jesus Christ, not Mary or the saints as they were needing of forgiveness unlike Christ who is the Son of God. Protestants also believe in Faith without works is dead, that is not a Catholic thing but a bible thing. Catholics simply emphasis this and can do better with its centralized system to achieve great things through their singular strength as protestants are many independent churches after Martin Luther started the reformation for church corruption in particular in unbiblical doctrine. .

    • @cincinnaticobra5477
      @cincinnaticobra5477 5 лет назад +3

Correction: Catholics also believe Jesus is the only way to the Father. The difference is we understand that the Bible instructs us to pray for each other. Mary and the saints dont somehow bypass Jesus as you seem to think we believe. They go to him same as we do. Many protestants do in fact believe 'faith alone' and not with works is where they receive grace. Protestant denominations differ on this belief, many agreeing with Catholic teaching, and many dont. Martin Luther, for example, did not agree and in fact believed there was no such things as free will. Luther believed you were destined for heaven or hell and you had no choice in the matter. Catholics disagree with him and believe strongly in free will, which is why works are important. It seems you agree with this which is great! You're correct that there was church corruption in the time of Luther, just as there have been scandals before, since and likely always will since its run by humans. However you're wrong when you state that it affected doctrine. Catholic doctrine, although often misunderstood, has been flawlessly guided by the Holy Spirit. For example, there were a handful of popes who were terrible people in their personal lives, but never altered doctrine. You're right that protestants are many independent churches. The reason is because once they abandoned the church guided by the Spirit, suddenly doctrine was guided by men and has continued to fracture ever since, currently at more than 45,000 denominations and sub-denominations.

Probably the defining difference which was touched on is expressed in St. John: "I am the way, the truth and the light. No one gets to the father but through me." This has both an abstract and non-abstract reading, the latter meaning that to communicate with God one must go through Jesus who is the sole intermediary between a believer and God. This shuts down the concept of needing a priest or pastor to dial-up God for you -- just call on Jesus in prayer to do it and he will.

My father said" there are traditions where the silently do to practice their faith in Jesus" and the i asked them what is that? They just don't tell it. I asked them why Mary is so special to catholics and then again i got no response. I feel them, maybe they really think im gonna convert to catholicism but in fact i just have a feeble mind. i have sleepless nights, analysing the Words of Our Lord. I really wanted to know more .I Got curious about Mary on especially the catholic faith. I got a lot of questions too , specifically on the intercessors. What really is the part of Mary and saints? Why does she have a special mentioning in the bible. I believe that Jesus is God and He is a real man too. Why did God put Him into Mary first? My mind is contradicting the more i want to learn about the truth. I feel anxious lately and having numerous sleepless night thinking about this. Is Mary the woman clothed with the sun and moon under her feet, and on Her Head crowned with 12 stars depicting on the Rev. 12:1-17? Hi, I find your presentation quite good, but would like to ad something or adjust a bit, I would like to adjust your numbering of differences since of point 2 follows point 3. I am going to use Lutherans as protestants since in many protestants belief they are the most catholic like, and also those I know most about.
    Ad diff point 1
Lutheran also world wide in the body and blood of Christ being more than just a symbol in the bread and vine. They believe after the word of initiation bread and wine becomes the body and blood of Christ but not as physically as Catholics because that would force Christ to attend the mass, and you can not do that. Confessio Augustana (the Lutheran "In what we belive".
    Ad diff point 3
Lutherans also believes that you are saved by faith alone, but your faith (if a true one) will force you to do good deeds hence giving credence to a living faith have work, but not as an issue for salvation but as a result of salvation.
And here is the main issue between catholics and protestants.
Since work is a result of salvation not a building block for salvation, work by any person can not be accrued in Lutheran belief.
However a person being deemed a Saint by the Pope, his or hers work are of such a high value by his/her work is deemed sufficient for salvation and sometimes more than enough. This extra goes together with the work of Christ into the box of salvation (as it is of monetary value) for the pope and Catholic church to distribute to the rest of us not being of Saintly calibre. This belief was rejected in Confessio Augustana, and has not been retracted by Rome to this day.
    Ad diff point 2
Of this point 3 follows: since saint are deemed to be saved, they are with God (father, son & holy spirit) in heaven(s), and they can thus be asked to intervened for person praying to them. eg. "Dear St. Nicholas can you ask God to give me the nice bike for Christmas" in a childs prayer.
In Lutheran belief not a singel person is just or can make him/her self just in the eyes of God. So all will be judged by God also St. Peter. So praying to another sinner wont do you any good. And Jesus also states anything asked in His name will be given, that is why in Lutheran view you have to pray to God through Jesus and not St. Nicholas since he is long dead and slumber until the day of resurrection in Lutheran view.
So are Catholics not Christians in view of a Lutheran, no far from it. We are brothers and sisters in Christ, along with all protestants and orthodox Christians because we all believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and Savior of mankind. All dominions saying yes to the Credos of Athanasius, Apostolicum and Nicaeaum are Christian, we just might differ in opinion of how things works.

Torleiv Aarrestad ...”there is only one name under heaven by which we must be saved”...Acts 4:12. Catholics have added Mary to that as Catholics call her Mediatrix & Advocate. They call her the ark of the new covenant as well. This is not scriptural. Jesus doesn’t need any help in saving people! We are not to add to Scripture, yet Catholics have added countless doctrines contrary to Scripture. Catholics teach a false Jesus & Mary & are not our brothers & sisters in Christ. Pope Francis & his New World Order is leading Catholics straight to hell.

Faith without works is dead, but the reason for that is because faith produces works. Hebrews chapter 11 has some examples of faith producing works. I'm Southern Baptist, and that's what we believe. In fact, in the book of Galatians, it mentions "faith working through love."
Furthermore, Galatians chapter 3 plainly says we receive the Spirit by faith and Galatians 5:22 talks about the Fruit of the Spirit.

Jesse Griffeth totally agree. Plus why would I ask someone else (priest) to pray for me when I have a high priest in the order of Melchesidec (Jesus Christ) to pray for me? I have spoken with many Catholics and many, if you ask them if they are Christian answer “no I’m catholic”. If you ask me that question I do not tell you what denomination or abomination that I hold. @Josh I'm not ignoring James and the worthless faith. I'm saying true faith produces works. Works are the fruit effect of true faith. When James refers to dead faith, it's referring to people claiming to have faith but no works to show it. It's speaking of fake faith. In fact, I one time read a footnote that says there's no dichotomy between faith and works.
Also, I pray for other people regularly. I just believe that people should be able to pray directly to God and ask God Himself for forgiveness.

The Church is of God and he can make his will known through it. So many can't or WILL not accept the following because it doesn't comply with their vision or lack thereof: Matt 16 17-19 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. They erased the 2nd one out completely! “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them.” Catholicism is a work based religion. Christianity is a faith based relationship with God. You can only confess and repent your sins to Jesus! Not a priest! The bible says that if you are NOT born again, you will die in your sins and you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Being born again does NOT mean baptised as a baby! To believe in Jesus means You got to repent (turn away from your sins) and put your trust in God ultimately believing He is the saviour and not your works! When you believe he is the saviour and trust in Him and have the Holy Spirit, this in turn produces Good works! Good works is the evidence that you have been saved through Jesus.
