The condition of the box is definitely a fault of your country's customs or post office. I never had that experience and I'm Thomann's customer since 2004
While definitely the Indian customs is heavy handed, parcels from sweetwater and even Ali Express are packed far better. The outer box in my latest video was completely destroyed. Check it out tomorrow.
1st!!!!!!! Why are you ordering guitars from them even though you have seen their packaging? After seeing this will never order a guitar from them unless I am ultra desperate. Guitar looks like a proper Gibson though!
It's the Indian customs bro.
They rip the packaging to check what's in.
It is a combination of bad packing and the custom's heavy hands.
Hi sir i just want to order a hard violin case from Thomann is it safe to order ? and it cost almost 35k do u know the customs for the Hard cases, will it be too high?
The import duty is 42 percent but sometimes with surcharges it can go upto 48 percent depending on the officer.
if i order guitar with case will the guitar be inside case because it will be safer
That would be the ideal scenario but many a time they ship the case and guitar in separate boxes.
Hello Sahil, how was dealing with customs ? Did they post it straight to you without hassles and then charged you ? Or did you have to make trips to the post office
They did get it to my local post office. In case they are unsure on the invoice value they will call you to the GPO wherein you would need to present your invoice, ID Proof and purchase receipt. Each city's GPO is different with their work ethic if you get what I mean.

Hi, the price of TE20 telecaster is 6400 + 4200 rupees on their site. Is it including all custom duties and shipping till my door or I will face some trouble if I order. Thanks in advance. Subscribed. :)

Customs duty is supposed to be 42% on the whole 10600. You will get it to your local Post Office after which you would need to pay there in cash.

Well i just ordered from thomman a few days ago, guitars was supposed to arrive today but are just sitting in a warehouse right now.

@@Quimico01 Luckily just ordered some studio parts and guitars parts rather than an actual guitar to prevent further catastrophe. Had a credit note from an earlier damaged one so had to place an order.

Actually it’s an 8 string guitar …. And getting an 8 string at this price point is quite amazing…. I decided to bought the guitar only …. And it will cost me about 17k with shipping charges. What do you think?
You can get 8 strings in India second hand for that amount but if you want it badly then be ready to shell out 42 to send 48 percent more for duties on the invoice value + shipping.

Hello Sir. I have recently ordered a guitar and some pedals from Thomann. Just after ordering I found out your reviews about the process and was really worried about the Shipment. Thankfully I received it in a decent condition(The outer shell was almost destroyed ), but had to pay a custom duty of 48%. The delivery man didn't provide any documentation (breakup of the levied duty) other than the amount written on a crumbled paper. Can you please share your thoughts about this process, and the amount I had to pay was legit or not. Thanks & Regards.😊
Bro can u explain in detail about price, shipment charge from thomann and tax from Post. Everything
@@7angels.103 The delivery charge for DHL is 4500. They will shift it from Thomann's warehouse to port. After that India post takes it and it reaches an Indian port. I had to pay a custom duty of 48% over the total invoice value. Which I didn't expect. Also sometimes the consignment might get a hold at the Custom. Then you have to go there and claim it, by showing Invoice.
Also It took 24 days to reach. Box was not in a good shape. The custom guys have the right to open and check.
Conclusion: Dont order. A big no.
Well said, very unreliable due to the packaging from Thomann and also the poor repackaging from the Customs and their 48 percent surcharge.
I wonder what happens to a tube amp head when shipped in a similar fashion.

Great unboxing, but only once you got to the unboxing. Yes, there are accessories - the truss rod wrench, extra strings, perhaps some extra screws. Lots of packing material- we get it. Personally, it feels like you purposefully waited (too long for those of us who want to see the item unboxed) to unbox that for which we came to the video: the real unboxing. 7 minutes, ie., halfway through the video, it was revealed. C'mon, man.
Yes, you're entertaining and yes, of course you want to have fun with your channel. But . . .
Please get to the unboxing before I leave the video halfway through and move on to an unboxing video.

@@abhishekbagdas1294 They are very uncooperative in that sense unlike sqeerwater. They ship their cases amd guitars separately. Real pain but that is the way that they are.
