I have the same SmittyBilt compressor and I'm not impressed with the hardware that it came with. Your solution is great if you're inflating tires one at a time. Much better than the "chuck" that it came with. Their air pressure gauge is a joke as well. But I cut off the end of the black air hose and put a coupler on that matches all of the other air hose stuff that I already have. I then built a 4-way tire inflator so that I can inflate and deflate all of my tires at once. The SmittyBilt can air up four 35" tires from 20 psi to 40 psi in less than eight minutes. I'm happy with that.
They are basically a clamp for the valve stem, air passes through them like the attachment that comes with the air compressor. Hope this helps, thanks for watching!
You're going to need to replace the yellow hose, it will crack when it gets hot. Also replace the 1 ft black hose with a stronger one because that one will start to leak. Get a digital air guage and a jaco lightning air chuck and the smittybilt compressor will be a beast
Yeah my buddy has the same one and he told me about it. I will address it when it gets a little more wear. I’m pretty happy with my SD Overland chuck, just used it in the dark in snow and it made life easier for sure!
Just took your advice and replaced the yellow with a much upgraded blue coil hose. Strange though, I put the black hose back on and then the new blue coil hose and that high pressure pop off valve keeps popping while I'm filling a tire. If I leave the black hose off it works great. Hoping the new coil isn't to small to move the right volume of air. I think the coils could be a bit tight along with it's length might be an issue. Still experimenting with it. Have purchased the high pressure shut off switch (70 on 100 off) can't see any reason for 150 psi, along with the tee and will wire that in as soon as it arrives. Other then the not so good hoses and connections this compressor is a nice piece of equipment. Oh and I also got a Jaco air chuck along with a storage box. That bag will melt if you put the compressor back in when it's hot.
@@jwat2396 the compressor shouldn't be popping while your pressing the trigger, only when you have it on and not putting air.. I usually hold down the trigger while I walk to the next tire to avoid that popping noise. If you can use it without the black hose go for it because that hose is junk too. It will melt and crack. Definitely better to put the compressor in something other then the storage bag. I hated that thing too lol
That little slip-on chuck is a game changer. Thanks!
Yeah they are definitely nice, especially when your trying to air up in the dark. Thanks for watching Sean!

Yeah, that’s actually what we were just talking about doing. After a week of off-roading every day in Moab a 4 way system sounds pretty nice 👍
New Sub this morning! 2/25/22! thanks for sharing. just ordered the SB2781 compressor now I'll be adding the quick connect. Thank you
Thanks Rodney! Glad the video helped you out, you’ll be happy with that setup mines still going strong!
I took your advice and got the quick chuck, thanks.
Nice, I really enjoy mine makes airing up a breeze, thanks for watching!
This is the way to go if you don’t want to buy a ton of connectors to convert everything and install a pressure switch. Thanks
No problem, I agree these do make things easy! Thanks for watching PJ!
Que le sucede al compresor si no se le pone un pressure switch.
Do the quick chucks allow air to pass through so you don’t blow the cutoff?

Sd overland is gone.
Yeah I know I just messaged him on Instagram, he said they’re restructuring the business 🤷♂️
