I engage with my imagination a lot, and there is a big element of a personal imaginary interpretation of the world around me when it comes to my spirituality and faiths. I've had a lot of interesting discussions with my friends about the nature of real versus lived experiences, though many of its facets are far from explored yet. P.S. I really thought that helicopter was outside my own window for a good while!

Sit comfortably and breathe normally. Pay attention to your breathing. When your attention drifts, bring it back. Any time you start to wonder if you're even doing this right, shift your attention back to your breath. In the West, there's a strong focus on gains and mastery. Approach meditation with a student's mind instead. You might also try square breathing: inhale for 4, hold for 4, exhale for 4, hold for 4.
