Renew your Vows didn't feel like a cash grab at all. It was refreshing to see Peter happy. Also the comic didn't do too well so it didn't turn out to be a "cash grab".
The comic didn’t do well because people DON’T want Peter to be happy! The people that want Peter to be happy and married and have a kid are a small but vocal minority. Most fans want to see Peter struggling through life but managing to shake it off and try again the next day

This is my vanilla Marvel Legends Spider-Man for now. Like I’ve never owned a comic accurate Spider-Man, yeah the symbol is a bit big but honestly I love the figure and he looks great on the shelf and posing him around and fighting with the other Spidey villains is awesome And he came with Wallcrawling hands and an unmasked head! Worth the price imo
I'm legitimately impressed by these figures. The Spidey is peak, and while I expected the MJ to be a throwaway, I had a ton of fun with it once I got it out of the box.
This is the best Marvel Legends Spidey ever since Pizza Spidey (Retro Spidey is overrated). Its got everything you need- the complete 3 sets of hands, a Peter Parker headsculpt, pinless elbows & knees, AND now toe joints. As for the MJ figure, I'm glad they gave her double-jointed elbows, but she still needs an ab crunch though! A singular diaphragm cut isn't enough articulation for the torso.

I missed out on the retro Spider-man and was very close to paying second market price and I'm so glad I didn't and missed it at all. Going forward with pinless. This is the ultimate ML Spider-man and I can't wait to get mine.
Just got mine from Target. Thankfully paint aps are good on both, Spidey has a bit of a white spot next to the torso crunch, but nothing a dab of red won't solve. So far, loving them!
Just recently got this 2 pack and I freaking LOVE it!!! I have not been able to stop posing this Spiderman, in my eyes it is THE definitive marvel legends Spiderman figure, Mary Jane is really cool too. I was expecting her to be a C- figure but to my surprise she's actually an A- figure. I definitely feel like I got my 52$ worth with everything that was included. I'm a very happy marvel legends collector right now. Awesome review shartimus, keep up the good work.

The female figs are getting better but the y all need better ball joint in the diaphragm and a lower ab crunch like Spidey. Butterfly joints in shoulders too. The new Spidey looks Amazing! 😁

Awesome review. I just found these at my local Target this morning. They must have just put them out because there were six of them on the shelf. I bought more than one. Definitely the best Spider-Man figure out there, IMO. I actually like the big spider symbol and the darker blue personally. This new figure is going to replace the red & blue Retro / Vintage figure as my default Spider-Man, so I wanted to have multiples.
I gotta ask does the retro Ben reily head match well with this spidy's color? Cause I got renew your vows and amazing fantasy and I love both figures but I'm really sold on having a dikto/Romita head for the RYV figure after doing a head swap. The Ben Reily head looks like it might be the right shade of red and it probably fits the RYV figure better then AF since it was made for that body mold. And I really want to have a squinty eye spidy mask on RYV while still having the AF figure complete.
With the toe hinge, at this point it's all about personal preference for colors, size of the spider logo, distance between the webs, etc. I like the colors and logo more than Retro. But after this I don't think there is much they can change for me to buy another standard spidey. Aka it's time for a new Scarlet Spider.

If it's one thing Spider-Man fans want to spend money on, it's Peter and Mary Jane married and being an awesome superhero family with their daughter. And because Marvel hates money, they refuse to do it.
Something about the sculpt that really bothered me that you didn't bring up is that when you do the ab crunch on the back the red and black lines are painted on the back and displace from the belt and the back which is SUPER distracting if you were to do any back shots with it crunched.
Almost the perfect Spider-man. Wish the neck/head had better articulation to look up higher. If it had that, would be able to get him into even better crawling/crouching poses.
Honestly, for me, the new first appearance spidey mold is the better of the 2. Besides the height, I think that mold captures spiderman's overall stature better, and has the right amount of BEEFINESS. Small things with this 2 pack body like the toe joints are a nice addition, but the body of this mold doesn't really capture that upper body V shape. Also, I think the blue is too dark, although I respect the source material. I just think this is an easy second to that mold from what I've seen (besides the toe joints!).
I have to ask: aren't you afraid that the heads will remain when you change them (or their connection)? I once had the binding of one character stuck and I couldn't wrap my head around it anymore, so I had to buy the same character twice
If you ever have that problem I would recommend using heat to remove it. You can either put it in hot water or use a hair/blow dryer to loosen it as well.

At least that was what was posted originally for the renew your vows 2 pack. I believe that the pandemic has thrown off a lot and the release dates that we’re seeing on some of these sets and waves are mostly placeholders. So I’m optimistic that the Black Panther wave is going to come out sooner than February. Man I really want that Black Panther figure. It’s so sick I ordered two of them

Did any have problems with Spider-Man left arm . I’ve noticed that when I move the left arm it looks like the arm is trying to come off

There is no doubt the new retooled Spider-Man buck will be used for repaints of all other versions (symbiote, Ben Reilly, etc.).
