Another genuinely incredible video Cam 🙌 The back and forth with Sir Jackie really made me chuckle 😂 I love the legend of the Tyrrell P34. It’s a shining example of out of the box thinking from one of the Garagistas. It almost doesn’t matter that it didn’t work, I love the ambition. Now that I think about it, there’s more than a passing similarity to the ill fated “zero pod” concept adopted by Mercedes. Both designs won a race and you of course raised doubts with the W14 sticking with the zero pods early doors. Like the P34, the slimline and slick W13 on paper makes sense to the layperson in the street when the theory behind it is explained. You can see what they were going for and why they were doing it but neither design worked in practice which, at the end of the day, is the only thing that really matters. I love the ambition though and that drive to be different.
Exactly this GS! It's a credit to the 'Richards' aka Garagistas aka Derek Gardner who were brave enough to go down that route. You know sir, I was gonna go down the sidepod route because there a lot of parallels, just that it's far too soon and too painful for me as a Merc fan to talk glowlingly about the very thing that I think has deprived us of the rematch, and the rematch of 21! Then suspension, tyres Brilliant, BRM & Lotus fitting wings at head hight , mounted to the wheel hubs & secured with fine aircraft cables 😆 dangerous but with function 👏, early 2.2 ltr alloy water pump Engine s , off Fire Engine s 🔥 , tuned and fitted behind the drivers, Farrari Engine masterpieces 👏 I could be wrong but feel i'm sure BMW Paramount ?? put so much into turbo 1.5ltr Engine, who ever it was will be mindblown now. Totaly Amazing. The worst part of the sport was losing so many Drivers , Magnesium fires that couldn't be extinguished. So much happening so fast , :0) & Scalextrics sett up in the loft for the next best thing. But they were not cheep. I've got carried away my Bud. 👍😎 Thease days you can have a Sim in your living room if you want :0) 😆 Nice one Cam 👍

I enjoy learning about cars and other mechanical or technology topics and this one looked interesting especially with the contact surface comparison between two smaller wheels versus a larger wheel also I'd be curious to learn more about the mechanics behind the turning angle and radius of the two different axles. This is also common in larger tracks and multi-axle vehicles.
