I think Ange has proven what a very talented coach he is by getting a patch up Tottenham team to be competitvie away against Man city , Man utd and great wins against Inform Everton and Bournmouth but the only thing I am starting to worry about his lack of giving our talented youth a chance to put themselves forward.
@@darrenfearon4288done so much more then any of our past managers, even if it’s by force we have so many young players on the bench, plus he’s been smart with loaning players, Devine was recalled early because clearly he was over performing and immediately had a new loan sorted to an upgraded Plymouth side, alongside Phillips which will help build a partnership
From what Port Vale/Spurs academy fans have said on twitter he seems to be progressing towards suiting more of an 8, but I always assumed he’d be Maddison’s back up/rotation option
Gutted he's gone but he's partly too special for this league and partly been handled really well by us to develop him. Thanks very much Spurs and I hope it's been mutually beneficial for both of us
Thank you to Port Vale and their supporters for looking after Devine and helping him on his way. When he turns into a big success in future then part of that success will be because Port Vale helped him on his path. I’m looking forward to when he breaks into our first team squad over the next season or two. He’s already showing signs that he could be a big talent in future years.
Port Vale fan here I've watched every game that Alfie has played for us.After a slow start mainly as a sub he gradually cemented his starting position as an attacking midfielder but on the departure of Ollie Arblaster he dropped deeper into the No 6 role as someone stated. This seems to suit him as he loves to turn and run into space. For a lad who is not even fully grown he has an incredible shot on him.How he generates so much power is amazing Although it's understandable that Spurs want him playing at a higher level personally I think he would have been better staying for the season. He does make some mistakes like passing a square ball across his own penalty area which cost us a goal and the game, but I'm sure he'll learn from that. Summing up Alfie came as a boy football wise and left as a man.Spurs have a lot to thank us for developing a very young talented player.Port Vale and its supporters are very grateful for loaning him to us he's been a pleasure to watch and helped the team reach the quater finals of the EFL Cup the first time ever. Finally thanks Alfie and good luck in your career!
@@peterd0147 thank you for your feedback. It’s interesting to read your first have take on his performances and his levels. It will be interesting to see how he performs with Plymouth. As you say it’s a step up and whether he is at that level yet is to be seen. Hopefully it’s a challenge that he relishes and will rise to it. Thank you again and good luck to Port Vale for the remainder of the season.
@@scottwheeler7615 yes. Some absolute pings in there. Comparing to Beckham whose long range passing is the best I've ever seen is not something I do lightly, but agree
Plays so much like Lolo. Great move stepping him up to Championship for rest of the season, then if he makes the grade let him train alongside Lolo, Biss and Sarr and he'll maybe just be that midfielder were looking for right now.
Can we please just be patient with the kid. Not too long ago, compilations like this were being made about Oliver Skipp too. Yet now there are some "fans" slagging him off and saying he's not good enough, despite being only 23. Not all players develop at the same pace and on the same timeline.
The thing about young players is they need to play consistently to improve. Skipp, Gil, Sess (had his chance with jose and conte tbh), Solomon, Tanganga, Spence, but if we’re being honest our first team players aren’t really that old too compared to them and are much better. Apart from our midfield, the other positions are majorly made up of the age of 26 or under. These projects need to be offloaded once they reach 23/24 if they dont show any real progression.
I was reading thru the comments and saying to myself, his passing looks more like Huddlestone to me, but I'm sure no one remembers him. And Hey! Someone did!
Hopefully continues playing in this way with Plymouth and then step up to first team. As good as Gallagher is,don’t see as an upgrade on Devine long term
If he is that good a prospect along with Donley, why then are they loaned out and not nurtured into the first team. Save us having to try and buy Chelski and City cast offs.
It’s player protection, if he crumbles in a big game in front of millions, his confidence will be shot if a manager feels his personality couldn’t handle it. It also protects the clubs asset. Kane played for Millwall, Norwich & Leicester before he came back to Spurs 👌🏻

Looks like a this guy is progressing to play that 6 role dm. That ability and confidence to ping balls with accuracy is probably his best feature.

He looks like hes going to be a class act
Shades of Steven Gerrard in some of those passes
Hoddle surely
Scholes
Or even Beckham
He seems to have the ability to play any kind of pass accurately
@@scottwheeler7615 yes. Some absolute pings in there. Comparing to Beckham whose long range passing is the best I've ever seen is not something I do lightly, but agree
For passing quality, Hoddle outclasses S 2:34 choles and Gerrard and WALKS ALL OVER Beckham!!!
Him and donley if worked right are about to be the future fr
Really hope Dorrington and Lankshear continue to progress also
Santiago
Been watching him this season and when he shoes from any where he hits the target and makes keepers work
My mum made my dad work
Thats how im here today
Hooopla
Awesome as always Hugo.

Great video. Keep going. Coys
Excellent, thank you
Could you imagine Kane and Son on the end of these long balls , let's hope we find the like for the future, Alfie has a bright future for spurs
he kicks the ball like a golf swing

Kid looks special! Maybe I had a few to many, but he reminds me of Harry with his passing 🤔
He looks like he learned a lot from Harry, coys
sprays diagonal passes like toni kroos! imagine spurs sign the master for him to learn off in the summer 🤯🙌✨
Certainly talented at measuring a pass 👍🏼
I thinks he been watching Mr hoddle Bright future indeed if we can keep him.
🔥🔥🔥
Lets see if we can add some more highlights to this video with him wearing a Plymouth Argyle Jersey
Some of them
Passes remind me
Of Tom Huddlestone
I was reading thru the comments and saying to myself, his passing looks more like Huddlestone to me, but I'm sure no one remembers him. And Hey! Someone did!
This kid can pass!!!
Reminds me so much of Glenn Hoddle
A real tinge of Glen Hoddle
Absolute wand of a right foot
You either have ability like that or you don't. Hard work and professionalism will determine how far he can go. Looks extremely promising. COYS
Should be playing for spurs now man
A pinch of Hoddle and a tinge of Waddle
He's got that special something
He is definitely giving off Steven Gerrard vibes. Range of passing is class but also looks very one footed.
Maddison Vibes
Hoddle, Huddlestone, Eriksen vibe.
Hopefully continues playing in this way with Plymouth and then step up to first team. As good as Gallagher is,don’t see as an upgrade on Devine long term
Looks like Hoddle in this vid. Whether he is is wait and see.
Next James Maddison
A student of the Tom Huddlestone School of Distribution. Quality.
Reminds me a young Glenn Hoddle !
Looks simple devine!
really hope it doesn't become a winks situation again.
Now! Isn't that just divine. Devine actually. Excuse the pun.
Good man lucky argyle
What bout his off the ball movement?
Simply......
Progressing well at vale why they pulled him I don't know unless he wasn't playing consistently ..
If he is that good a prospect along with Donley, why then are they loaned out and not nurtured into the first team. Save us having to try and buy Chelski and City cast offs.
Because they need regular first team football to aid their development. Kane spent time on loan at Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich and Leicester

He's absolutely nothing like Dembele. Stupid comparison.
Is he playing central or wing? If central, we can rid of Skipp next year and integrate him.
Better than Skipp

Tom carroll 5.0?
Carroll
Mason
Winks
Skipp
Devine?
