Hi - you really bring everything you said to the absolutely the TRUTH - of what you have been saying - in this video - I myself need survey on my shoulder and never had the surgery - okay - I had a third degree separation to my shoulder - in the 1970's - like a foot ball player would have if he banged together shoulders without equipment to protect each other or to protect the shoulder of each other - one player my have to have surgery if it was bad enough and I was that player - on a roller skate floor - ( wood ) - it was me or this girl and I picked on the guy and pushed the girl out of the way and banged !! He was more heavier then me - by many many pounds - and we met with a lot of force!! SURVEY - was done within a two hour period as I was taken to the near by hospital right away as bone was out of my skin - NASTY - I could not even get off the floor by myself - gave a guy my keys to my car and he drove me to the hospital - Yes - Plan to have the survey - because it is really bad in two years from now - 2025 - when we retire - This Doctor sounds to be an excellent doctor - Sarah has picked her career like a pro -!!!

I found my calling! I'm also 18 and I always knew I wanted to be a doctor (specifically a fertility doctor) but I don't want to just treat symptoms! I want to treat the root! Can you talk more about specializing while being a naturopathic doctor. For ex. can I be a naturopathic doctor that specializes in women's health?
Hi Elizabeth Pierre-Louis! Thank you for your comment! So for specializing, NDs (in Canada) aren't technically allowed to say they "specialize" in something. There are no specific programs in Naturopathic Medical school (as of yet) that help a ND gain more experience in one area of medicine over others. We are general practitioners. BUT you can say you have a general practice with a "focus" on women's health and fertility. This means that instead of seeing every person that wants to seek naturopathic care, you only accept fertility and women's health patients at your clinic. Does that make sense? Let me know if you need more clarification.
Hi Elizabeth Pierre-Louis! Thank you for the question! Typical hours are 10am to 6pm. Some practitioners choose to only work part time, 3-4 days a week, others like to work 5-6 days a week. You get to pick your hours really. So if you are wanting to raise a family, I think it is totally possible since the hours that you work are up to you.
