Eater and Lich were forest spirits, after Lich play a prank to Held and revived prince Arth (The king that was made from mud) he was expelled of the forest and fled to a forest in Marlon, shortly after Eater followed him. Lich was the only spirit that didn't losetheir memories and so he had a bad relationship with Held (Lich was on Levia's and Behemo's side). After he reached Marlon thanks to him being best friends with Eater he wanted him to remember and so he looked out for help from the demon of gluttony (the cousin of Eater and the demon who Banica ate). After discovering the fate of the demon Lich and Eater became servants/friends of Banica and helped her. Both of them appear in the Greed Novel and the new novel (Outlaw and Lychgate) is about Lich's fate after the end of the world and some of his past.

i think Seth possessed a person named lich and was given the option to go to the 4th period but refused it and traveled with the twins and banica
