I just got my golden bundle of doomlings today. Aside from one issue that i had with my order, that I emailed customer support for, the cards are fantastic. The presentation is great and I played 6 games today as the base game, waiting to get comfortable enough to use the expansions. You guys made a great product and I look forward to the countless hours of fun.
My family has been playing Doomlings for a couple of months now and it's pretty much our favorite game (after 'NO ESCAPE'). We have virtually all the expansions, so we have a deep bench of traits, actions, etc. which makes for a very unpredictable but still fun game. We've all developed our own strategies and favorite cards and combos that produce the most 'drop of life' points once the game is over. The best part about this game is how unpredictable the game can be. Even the best strategies get s**t canned when an age like 'King of the Jungle' drops and players have to go back to the drawing board when they have to dump a handful of good cards and start over. My only complaint about the game play is the literal invulnerability of the Dominant Traits, which, once played, are unaffected by any other actions, ages or effects. Some of them, like 'Skimmer', have effects that are game breaking and can almost assure victory when played with certain other traits. They can't be swapped, stolen or removed from the trait pile so they are very hard to counter. It would be nice if you developed some new traits that could address this.
Great explanation. Purchased the Gold Set. Made the mistake of opening all base plus expansions and mixed them all up. Once we mastered the basic set, playing with the expansions made game play much easier.

my mom and i are having issues just understanding the base game. I didnt buy the expansions yet
3:30 - sorry ... but I've played dozens of games and don't know how you could know that someone is 4 points ahead of you mid-game!
