- For as intense as Netflix's teen drama "13 Reasons Why" can get (and it most definitely does!), sitting down with the actors away from the set is a completely different vibe! Having interviewed nearly all the main cast ever since the show made its big (and controversial) debut, we at Young Hollywood can say with confidence that this is a legitimately fun group of young actors! So naturally we jumped at the chance earlier this year to be able to sit down with stars Alisha Boe (Jessica Davis), Brandon Flynn (Justin Foley), and Ross Butler (Zach Dempsey) ahead of the premiere of Season 4 for a lively game of "Truth or Dare"! Everyone talking about Justins death but think about Clay.. He lost one of his best friends (Jeff) then he lost the girl he loves (Hannah) and now he lost his brother (Justin).. Meanwhile he sees ghosts and had to deal with everyones problems before being able to move on himself

The fact that Justin couldn't graduate and when clay read his essay,it just broke me... when his college application was accepted he was so happy..He didn't deserve to die like this,He finally thought that something better was coming in his life😭

I lost it when Clay read the essay. i thought i had recovered from the hospital and the funeral, but then they went and did that and i just was not prepared for more

I wish they would’ve shown Monty’s past and what led him to become the way that he is and I also would’ve wanted to see him and his sister and how they interacted
Same but they only had ten episodes instead of thirteen like the other seasons so they had to cut some things out. As I was watching, I thought of different things they could have incorporated like more of Cyrus, more of Monty and his sister, more of the Coach that helps Justin, and more of Winston beyond trying to figure out Monty’s death. Plus, what happened to the coach of the baseball team? I think the main focus was Clay’s mental state so they had to cut a lot of that out. I’m glad they are finally addressing Clay though because he definitely did a lot of things you shouldn’t do like the whole school shooter thing with Tyler, figuring out the thing with Hannah, etc.
Yeah i was disappointed they didn’t show more of his past. I would have wanted to see more of winston’s too. In general i thought this season had a lot of unexpected character changes that didn’t really make sense to their previous lives and some lives we never really got to see

His anger issues come from him getting abused by his dad,being around byrce his influence,and i believe from him not being able to be his sexuality comfortably around his football team aka he cant be himself and gets abused

i can honestly say that i have never cried so much over the death of a fictional character the way i did for justin foley, that hurted. i literally went through all the phases of grief over it too and brandon flynn is an amazing actor.
