Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I witnessed this very performance at the venue on Day-2 (April 2) when the newly born BABYMETAL with Momometal began with full joy 😍. The band in the girls' back was Western Kamis and I appreciate their devoted support that has made this and recent tours amazing. Thank you Chris, CJ, Anthony and Clint (Ryan replaced in North American tour). You guys are unsung heroes whom everybody loves.
Su-Metal, the lyricist of this song, explained in an interview the reason why she chose a phrase "(Time to) go your way" in stead of "go our way" whereas it seems to me that this song is a kind of call to build up grit of BABYMETAL themselves and their followers again after the hiatus. She said like "It may be better with 'our', but I though it is adamant or pushy to fans who have various tastes in music. They do not need to accept everything about BABYMETAL. I hope they follow us at their own discretion. In addition, I was seeking some words thinking of people who might be encouraged to brace themselves up or to explore their own ways with the help of powers given by my lyrics. Certainly the connotation of this song implies 'let's go together' but I hold a individual fan in high esteem. [source : magazine PMC vol.27 page 38] What a thoughtful person our Queen is !
I'm fascinated by the intimate knowledge you seem to have with Babymetal. Are you part of their touring family? If so could I ask, why do the Western Kamis have to wear the masks? As a one time-admittedly local-musician I feel like it would have driven me crazy wearing those while playing. In comparison I love the makeup of the Kami band. The members have so much personality which I feel adds a whole other dimension to the show. Answer if you can I'm only curious and have no desire to put you in a compromising situation of any kind. @@robote7679 I am a mere fan like you. I discovered BABYMETAL without any prior knowledge in July 2019 when I came across Glastonbury videos posted by BBC on RUclips. So the combination of virtuosic masked band and unidentified amazing girls was my first encounter. I, therefore, have no answer to your question. But I now believe that the current anonymity of the band is in line with their policy. Subsequent to the Dark Side era, the girls have been deemed as matured performers, mentally, physically and in skillfulness. We certainly know masked Kamis, either Eastern or Western, are excellent musicians, but the girls are now grown-up artists / divas who can express their art on their own even without any help of the musicians who can easily stand out.
In addition, the masks are well contrived to make some interchangeability of musicians easier. For example, Ryan Neff replaced Clint Tustin as a bassist in several shows in Japan and all of 29 gigs in BABYKLOK tour. Many fans did not notice nor care that temporary change. Such flexibility is necessary for BABYMETAL to perform in many countries. In opera, we see performers on stage but we do not pay attention to instrumentalists in orchestra pit. (Don't get me wrong. I love all Kamis. Last month I went to see a concert where Isao and BOH performed.)
This is what I surmised from what I have seen since my discovery, meaning my hindsight as a relatively new fan.

Great reaction. Su-metal liked this song so much when she heard the demo, it reminded her of one of her own favourite songs, 'Road of Resistance', that she said she wanted to write the lyrics ... and so here we have a song with her first writing credits.
The treadmill thing is an internet myth - I think dating back to someone in a youtube comment saying something about how much breath control she had and how fit she must be, someone else replying that Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston or somebody like that practised while running on a treadmill ... somebody else thought they were talking about Su ... and from there it just spread.
The treadmill story is a myth she doesn't do that, somebody misunderstood something she said about her fitness routine and spread it over the internet and it gained a life of it's own. BTW Moa said the way she stays fit is by performing in Babymetal she doesn't need to do anything else
I remember Moa saying a while back that they prepare for touring by working on their core. 👊🏽⚡️🤘🏾🦊
I love how well researched the band is. I don't think anybody ever researched iron maiden to this extent. People search for every word they say. It's great, I do too.

I can confirm, 100% they have never said anything about singing on treadmills or similar to that. Also, it just makes sense that practicing the songs with full choreography is going to provide the best results for timing, breath control, and energy management for the specific requirements of each song and for the course of a full set.

Sorry you missed the Babymetal tour this time, I was fortunate enough to see them in both Toronto and Vancouver. Hopefully you get to see them next time they tour. You need to see them live!! Be careful of the mosh pit though, Vancouver was insane!!
Love it Hun, one of my favourite tracks off the other one and as usual even better live, I'd recommend Monochrome from the same show as well as BM death followed by IDZ, clear night performance., Having done the night in the Avenger costumes they came on for the encore to do these 2 songs, I'll leave you to watch it. That treadmill thing is a fan rumor or misunderstanding.
It's never been mentioned in any interview with the members.
They have talked about working on core strengthening before tours though.
BTW, this is the first song that Su wrote the lyrics for.
Yui and Moa (as Black BABYMETAL) already had an official credit for the music and lyrics (but not the arrangement) for '4 no Uta' on the first album.
Many legends, either true or fictional, are told by people when the figure is heroic 😄

I just saw Babymetal in Vegas last month at the Sick New World Festival. Which it seems that whereever Babymetal goes. Pandemonium & epic performances insue and this was no different. Which came later in the night at Bring Me The Horizon's stage.
Where Babymetal showed up totally unexpected to perform Kingslayer with Oli live on stage. The place went nuts and was significant given this was the first performance of Kingslayer to be performed live outside Japan's Next_Fest last year.
Then you add Leave it all behind with Thai Rapper F-Hero & Thai rock Band Bodyslam in another mindblowing performance. They are now headlining their own Fox_Fest in Japan as we speak. Soon to be preparing for a European tour the rest of the calendar year. 🤘🦊🔥
You may have noticed that Momoko was wearing a mike as well. This was her first concert as the official new member of Babymetal. She is now known as Momometal.

Well, Su-metal has been singing in public since she was 6-7 years old in her native city Hiroshima, with her older sister Himeka, in the Hiroshima Theatre Association (whatever the name is), not many artists are so continuously hard working and keep improving over so many years.
Paco de Lucia comes to mind, an interviewer told him over and over about his amazing talent playing the guitar, and Paco's reply was something like "yes, I've had the talent of practicing with the guitar since I was like this (extends his hand to the height of a 6-8yo boy) for eight hours a day, every day, until now".
That's the case of Suzuka Nakamoto, she has been singing, learning and improving her technique for two decades, so she can sing at 90+ concerts per year without dropping her quality or damaging her voice.
And she's only 26! I hope we are blessed for many years to come with more Su-metal ❤🎶

Well there active to operative Handwork is in fact based on their language. Japanese simply has a ridigulous Nummer of Homophones (Words with different meanings thst Sound the same) so most japanese speaker do something with there hands to try to help the other Person to understand their meaning.
