  • Quick Saturday morning project on my car. I've been wanting to do this for a while now and I finally got around to doing it today. It's a simple job, only takes one can of plastidip and a few hours with dry time. The matte finish is pretty darn close to the factory black plastic lower bumper. I have several projects I'm gonna do with my car over the next few months so stay tuned!

About to do this on my 2010 Outback! Already did the emblems and grill. I think everything looks better in black compared to chrome/plastic silver!

There are two nuts on the back holding the lens in place. You can either try to access them by moving the fascia where you change the bulb, or you can take off the whole bumper cover by removing a bunch of clips.

Wanted to know how to remove the bezel and you helped. The fact that it looked so good was a bonus ;-).

Did you remove the skid plate to paint it?
