My skin was exact same!! Never had it ever too. Hormanal cystic acne. I stripped it back to Cerave blue one and salicylic acid every other night and its made a massive difference. Collegen tabs too x
Hey Em ❤ hope you’re doing well, love your videos! Just a thought re the skin, could it be ‘purging’? I recently had this when I tried a sample of a new skin product that I hadn’t used before (which contained active ingredients) and my skin immediately broke out almost acne-like when I’d never had problems with my skin before. Apparently this can happen with some products & if you continue to use it then after 6-8 weeks your skin should finish purging and be even better than before.
Love your vlogs and always look forward to seeing them. I have to say I’m loving your style lately, you look amazing and I really feel you are finding your own look and style ❤❤❤
Love your channel lots Emily you always make me smile and always brighten up my day you will always be my favourite RUclipsr and my inspiration wishing you a beautiful week ahead ❤❤
Hi Emily get yourself to a Guinot salon for a hydradermie facial it will make such a difference. Not only is it relaxing but also a really great facial .
…. However I couldn’t deal with bad skin for that long so stopped using the product and my skin was back to normal in around a week 😅 anyway hope this helps - you a absolutely beautiful inside and out though!! Sorry for rambling haha, ciao x
btw another tip: if you're having a breakout, put down a soft towel on your pillow and sleep on it for 2-3 days, flipping each night. always clears me up! xo
@@AlexisMarina89 Skin doesn’t “breathe”. Unless you’re tight wrapping your whole face in cling film, it’s constantly being exposed to oxygen/air. Your skin turns over new cells all day, everyday, whether it’s on a cotton pillow or towelled material. Just saying, changing the material of what your face is on for a few hours in the night is not going to make a diference to a breakout.
@user-ii4rq5ko3x - uh, yes it does. it's the same concept as not wearing makeup for a few days. not putting chemicals on your face = allowing your pores to chance to not be clogged by chemicals. look up sunscreen and makeup ingredients that are cancer causing and tell me skin doesn't need to "breathe". you sound ignorant, so let me help you. pimples are sebum and dead skin cells that clog pores, hence why estheticians 'extract' blackheads and whiteheads. your skin is not a production factory: it can't turn over at a rate where it removes all of the cells perfectly, especially if you're slathering it in products. you need to test skin/makeup products separately and together for 6-8 weeks to see their effects on your skin. this is why it's suggested you don't start new skincare/product routines with several new products at once, as most people have sensitivities or outbreaks to certain ingredients. skincare products contain a series of chemical components (acids, fatty acids, alcohols, occulsive ingredients, etc) that interact with each other, and interact upon people's skin. women will spend hundreds of pounds before MAYBE figuring out which ingredients their skin hates. it's very individual. this is likely what's causing Emily's outbreak. the towel works for people that don't have acne, as most towel material is meant for moving water/sweat away from the body. pillowcases are typically made from cotton and polyester materials, which absorb sweat and redistribute it back onto your skin as you sleep. if you use silk or bamboo pillowcases, since those materials also move liquids away from the skin, that will also help give your skin another breather at night. bonus: it's good for hair follicles too, keratin won't become agitated and frizzy. the best solution for clearing up pimples is not getting them though, which would include reducing sugar and dairy intake, and moving skin routines towards less product use. Emily should first and foremost cut out makeup, skin care products and cleaners for several days, THEN use a towel on her pillow, and yes i guarantee her skin will clear up very quickly with it. :)
If you're using a hormone contraceptive it could be that causing breakouts. I'd also advise ditching dairy completely - my adult acne disappeared when i came off dairy!
It’s not actually advised. My friend who’s a dermatologist in an NHS hospital laughed when I asked him that years ago. There isn’t scientific evidence to suggest dairy effects acne at all. Because hormones can effect acne, some people assume dairy can too as it includes hormones from the cow but it’s not consuming hormones that effects it, it’s the imbalance of hormones within your own body. It would have been a co-incidence that your acne disappeared when you ditched dairy. Curious if you’re aware how much food actually contains dairy. Swapping cows milk for oat milk isn’t ditching dairy. You’d need to not eat any processed foods, sauces and marinades in restaurants, anything that has egg or cheese in the ingredients etc. I hope your immune system, Vitamin D, B12 and Calcium levels, periods and protein intake are okay after ditching dairy for acne that was most likely caused by overproduction of oil/sebum, not cleaning properly, stress or hormone inbalance. Be careful what statements you make online. It’s dangerous to suggest people completely stop intaking a very important food group based on unreliable sources you’ve come across on the internet.

A breakout most likely would clear up within 2-3days anyway. It’s not a towel thats getting rid of them.
@@user-ii4rq5ko3x no it's not, but it lets your skin breathe for a few days to clear itself up. i'm guessing you've never tried it.
