    Modern players are die hard lovers of the format. I often play the dumbest strats and build odd lists just to play interesting games.

      I wish the elementals weren't so oppressive as answers because I too love oddball decks and homebrews that can surprise an fnm. Now I feel like you just have to play Elementals the game

      There were some good things about MH2. Kind of wished some of the cards weren't as powerful and format defining, though.

    i love one for one midrange magic where you have to manage your recouses, bait out answers and save your threat to close out the game when you feel the coast is clear. that playstyle is DEAD in current modern. either you got super agressive, or you go lategame. but no matter wich, they all are value adding strategies. 1 for 1 doesnt work anymore.

      Yeah... It's another way for WOTC to monetize eternal formats.

  • @youngthinker1

    Says format is diverse.
    Majority of decks run large amounts of Modern Horizon 2 cards.
    Yeah chief, that checks out.
    In all seriousness, Modern seems to be too expensive for new players to enter.

    • @insidethedeck
      @insidethedeck  Год назад +8

      I haven't had any mention of my narration sounding like I was bored before. It was most likely my Fall allergies because I struggled when recording the narration. The video had to come out soon or else it would be irrelevant. So I dealt with what I could do. I'll keep that in mind for next time.

      They were'n't paid. To be honest, we initially thought there would be more negativity towards MH2, but it seems that the players are 50/50. So we wanted to show that.

  • @wardious2562

    Yorion’s ban reasoning is such horse especially when you consider that the most popular format in the game is played with 100 card decks.

      @Lv80Mudkip Год назад +6

      Do you play timed edh rounds?

    • @Marklar10
      @Marklar10 Год назад +2

      Commander is not a competitive format. By competitive I specifically mean tournament magic where money is (or can be) on the line. Bannings in Commander are directed around fun. Bannings in constructed formats are based around what makes healthy competition. The physical dexterity required for Yorion was bad for competition. The same can be said for the bannings of cards like Falling Star and Sharazad.

    • @thanhavictus
      @thanhavictus Год назад

      EDH isn't a real format. There's a radical world of difference when it comes to the crap you do for an hour with your friends, and an actual structured tournament that has a timetable and matches have to go fast.
